Sad to say it was raining throughout the morning, and even more damning was that many of the more high-profile attractions were down due to repair/inclement weather. Then again, the rain kept many people away, and as a result we could do almost anything we wanted without the hassle of queuing up. After lunch at the food court (which is YET another tourist trap, with exorbitant prices and substandard imitations of hawker fare). The only reason we chose to dine there was due to the $10 dining voucher that was included as part of the ticket (there's another $5 retail coupon as well). The crowd level started to pick up in the afternoon and there were long queues at many attractions. Sadly to say, the Singapore theme park, though heavily branded and promoted, seems smaller in size than its contemporaries in other countries. Yet it is a good place to experience the a world famous theme park brand without venturing overseas (and getting disillusioned by the notoriously inefficient Hong Kong Disneyland). And generally many agree that Universal Studios is much more crowd friendly than Disneyland. Also USS appeals to people of all age groups, and is not only focused on milking money from star-struck kids meeting their favourite cartoon characters. At least USS offers attractions from a wide range of genres and time periods. All in all, the $72 would have been money well spent if not for the closure of Jurassic Park Rapid Adventure and the much-hyped about Battlestar Galatica. Good place to spend the day with a group of friends- enjoying the attractions and taking loads of photographs. I bought a cap from the gift shop as well for memories sake (and to use up that retail coupon) Now for the photos.. That day was just not our lucky day.. Planning the route for our assault on all the attractions that are still open View from the entrance. Far far away, home of Shrek.. I almost forgot what Shrek was. >.< 'Welcome to my castle..' Guarding the castle.. The rain just got progressively heavier, driving many into the indoor attractions. Is that William.. no! Its a talking donkey.. Lol. Fantastic Four - Waiting for King Louis' arrival New York City Would have been more realistic if not for the roller coaster at the back 'Lights, Camera, Action' - Showcase of special effects used in productions The Big Apple in the midst of a Category 5 hurricane Cool, refreshing mist.. Cool! Short waiting times.. School 1 buddies in the Accelerator And the others.. :P Botaks having fun~ POP lohhhhh~ Sorry I too overexcited already >.< And this thing was closed due to glitches found a couple of weeks before -.- Ancient Egypt. 'The Revenge of the Mummy' ride is a must if you visit USS Even our school canteen serves better food at a quarter of the price Waterworks. A must-see show. You won't regret it, really. Confrontation in the search for dry land in the submerged future. And the villain goes down in a blaze of fire.. Castle proper in the cloudy afternoon. Visited the 4D show again for Louis' sake (: Deep in thought waiting for the Hollywood Monster Rock to begin at another part of the park A one times good jumpshot Someone's addicted to a particular Wondergirls song.. And another one's liking army a wee bit too much. Yay Frankenstein >.< Outside the theme park in the evening.. .. And one good group to savour. You just gotta love those penguins man.. And that marks the end of our adventure.. Dinner at Carl's Jr (Vivo) where all of us spent like two hours just chatting and waiting for me to finish my meal.. Visit a tech shop on the third level to allow Jtay time to get stuff for his spanking new iPhone, and then its home sweet home 3 Comments. I consider, what is it ?our error.
