Looking back.. and plotting the way forward
Wednesday. 10.14.09 12:02 am
I was reading through my tags and linking them to the posts which they made reference to in an attempt to revisit my past and go through the thought processes I'd experienced. (Yes, I do save tags in a Word document.. Lol.)

And they come back vividly in double-quick time. Instantaneously. Guess our memories are all actually stored somewhere. All it needs is a trigger to open the floodgates.

There had been many people who had made my J1 life so much more enjoyable and meaningful. I guess Pre-U 1 is always a sort-of 'honeymoon period' whereby we live life to the fullest and do just enough to be promoted and stay with the same bunch of friends.

Yet again, by the time Block Test 2 and Prelim are just round the corner, I couldn't help but to realise that just like radioactive nuclei of heavy metal ions, the bonds holding the members together diminish over time, causing our own p/n ratio to drop to an optimal level whereby we are just content with the number of close friends we have and cast out the net no more.

Just an observation which has come to pass in every single class I'd been in. I am thankful though that r/s in my current class of 2 years are still rather taut as compared to other class, bar a rogue member here or there. At least having hydrogen and weak VDW forces are better than being an ideal gas with large swathes of vacuum separating each molecule.

Over the next few weeks we still have left together as a class (one more week exactly, since next Wed is Graduation Day), I hope that our bonds will not be stretched further - and that our dipoles will somehow lead us to a common point such that post-graduation, we can still be proud to say that the spirit of 08S6A still lives on, despite we having gone our separate ways pursuing different dreams and vocations in different countries and cultures altogether.

It is also the last few weeks that the PRCs will still be walking amongst us (except T^2 and Silu for obvious reasons). Not that they had betrayed anything that seems to suggest that they'll miss us - nonetheless they have been a part of us, even if our paths rarely collide in and out of school.

We have the choice to choose how we want to live out the remaining weeks of school life together. Sure mugging is important, but let's not allow the stress and pressure to snatch away the memories of yesteryears. (or months).

Maybe the next time I look back at my tagboard archives I can actually find more reasons to smile. Not a half-hearted smile but a smile that comes with the realization that I had managed to make many good friends in my 2 years (:

(Random names on tagboard do not count! I don't know a real life 'sometwo' or 'random') =P
