A Pictorial Definition of Boyfriendhood
Friday. 2.4.11 10:25 pm
There are a lot of different reasons for wanting to have a boyfriend besides wanting to marry one. There are the dates of course. Exciting places are so much more exciting when shared with an enthusiastic male person. You can go ice skating, watching movies, fishing, dinner and it all is more new and interesting when seen through their eyes.

However, you have to pick the right one, otherwise there will be more than one young man trying to enjoy you in your flashy new dress.

...on the one end,

...on the other, and then, if you're lucky...

I don't have a boyfriend, so I'm going to give my opinion on these boys that I see on TV.

Too sensitive guys: quite cute 8D but not boyfriend material.

Too over-protective: :| the vampires on TV are guilty of this. I'm pretty sure the girl can go to sleep alone without having some creepy dude sitting there staring at her trying to "protect" her.

The not too sensitive and not so aggressive and perfect guys: on television, they tend to lack the brains and tend to go through bunch of conflicts to the result of actually understanding something that others generally get in a few weeks. I'm talking about those nice jocks that think they like the girl but not really and kinda protect her and then has this epiphany "OH I DO LIKE HER" and yay. But then there are exceptions, like some lawyers on TV that are super hot and apparently "perfect." Except they're workaholics-ish and their job is the reason why the girl is in danger in the first place.

I think I'm being feminist (because feminism is not just about women, but it is about equality), but a man's ability to provide security and protection is kind of outdated as a criteria to look for in a boyfriend/mate/husband. *A* Personally, I just want one that can do all of my domestic chores. As for protecting me when I walk in the dark alley with gangsters trying to jump me... It'd be a bonus if he can do so, but it's not a major major factor.

I've had two relationships, but they didn't fall into any of those categories. :S

CUTE!
I love your entry! Did you draw these pictures? Did you ever see the movie "Bedazzled"? I always think of it when I think of someone who is "too" sensitive.
