Recently we had to read an example research paper at my composition class, it was called ?Food for Thought?. It was really interesting and had my attention from the beginning. The paper had some pretty disturbing facts that have changed my mind, i no longer want to eat eat. According to it most animals that we eat are sick at the time that they are butchered. 90 percent of chickens have cancer, 80 percent of pigs have pneumonia and 53 percent have stomach ulcers, and most veal calves have anemia. Pretty scary, huh?
And besides them being sick when they are sent to the slaughter house, im choosing to become a vegetarian because harming animals really saddens me.
Im still trying to find new things to eat besides regular salads, so im looking online for easy and good recepies.

Thank god I don't really like eating meat.. though going vegan.. don't vegetables contain loads of pesticides and chemicals which might cause serious illness? You can eat a variety of veggie with rice..

Are you going vegan or vegetarian? Bc you can get cage free/range eggs and those chickens arent harmed or torchered. Also if you are only concerned with harming animals kosher meat might would be a good option (you can google it for more info). I wouldn't beleive everything you here from peta but from a nutritionist I'd believe most of it. And you want to talk about not eating meat? Buy some pork and pore some pop or anything acidic (citrus juice etc) on it before you cook it. Worms will come out, you can search you tube and myspace video and find proof. Eeew.

Good for you if you go vegan. It's a BIG change.... Vegan = no animal products at all, I mean, I dunno how I'd survive without... milk.... and various other dairy products.
There are some meat substitutes you can find in grocery stores that aren't half bad, or if you don't mind lots of tofu you could go with that too.

Good for you, if you're feeling that you're making the right decision. Just be sure to do lots of research because when you cut out meat and dairy you are losing out on lots of important proteins. Read some books and, if you can afford it, see a nutritionist, that way you're still healthy. =]
