Don't read
people..don't read unless you saw The Village or like spoilers. Ok the noises were made by one of the village elders or possibly a few. IT'S pretty stupid when you don't think about it...but when you understand the concept, it gets interesting (atleast for me). So this is the story. The village elders are actually normal people from 1970 or somewhere around that time. They had family, but there was always something wrong. Someone's sibling was raped. Someone had a family member who was killed. A robber stole someone's belongings and left the guy out naked. etc. Ok, so the living family members wanted to escape the greed of people because of money and possessions. They left their life in the modern world and started their own village in a forest. They've been living their up to this day. The elders swore that they would pretend that there are these creatures in the woods that would kill them if they entered the woods. The reason was so the kids, and everyone else won't go see civilization and won't bring the greed back to the village. It is all a lie that the village elders keep. In a way it was like a cult.
Ok, when I said "up to this day" I didn't mean that the village is a true story...i'm just saying that it happened until this time in the story. If you get confused...ask me.
