school play
Thursday December 8, 2005 6:27pm
I saw my school's play last night. It was really good. It's called "The Laramie Project". You might've seen the movie.. it's a true story.

Just in case you didn't know, I'll rewrite the little summary that was in the pamphlet that was passed out before the play.
>>>
"In October 1998, a 21 year old student at the University of Wyoming was kindnapped, severely beaten and left to die, tied to a fence in the middle of the prairie outside of Laramie, Wyoming. His bloody, bruised and battered body was not discovered until the next day, and he died several days later in a nearby hospital. His name was Matthew Shepard, and he was the victim of this assault because he was gay. Moises Kaufman and his fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project made 6 trips to Laramie over the course of a year & a half in the aftermath of the beating and during the trial of the 2 young men accuse of killing Shepard. They conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of the town. Some people interviewed were directly connected to the case, and others were citizens of Laramie, and breadth their reactions to the crime."

And this only happened 7 years ago. crazy.
It really makes you think. psh. I'm still thinking about it.
The actors in the play were insanely GOOD.
I have to say good job to Robert, Robyn, Remy, Monica, Christian, Tabitha, Rachel, and Bobby. nice job guys! =]

Well that's all for now. I just thought I'd update a little.
time for me to study for my pre-cal test.
