it's so very shameful when you dine with your boyfriend's family and are offered a folk because it is observed how uncomfortable and unnatural you are using the chopsticks.
with situation NOT improving when said boyfriend then adding offhand comment: "that's shameful. how can you yum cha? you'll look over and see white people using chopsticks while you're still folking away"

...errr............ -________-;;

soooooo. new task at hand- learn how to use chopsticks effectively so that next I dine his with family, I can do something impressive like catch flies with my chopsticks (Karate Kid style baby :D) or equally dazzling, heeee-ya!! my mini sticks around like kendo swords.

Ahh, to be in the world on Qing...what an experience that must be. To believe that a wordsmith such as herself could actually do something mildly athletic(like catching flies with chop-sticks for example) is beyond me. Enough from me...Did i tell you that we had an unexpected inch of snow last night? I woke up to a winter wonderland...but unfortunately...so did the kids :S Open day tomorrow...that means school on a satarday...how dreadful....and a day before my 18th too (14th March)...I think I'll just go practice my fly catching..Cheerio
