he played me like a fool....and now hes after one of my friends...what should i do so I found out tonight that one of my newer friends is really into the guy that really hurt me last year. She is an incoming freshman so doesn't really know this guys reputation as a player. And we just started hanging out so she has never heard the stories about my past year with this boy. I am so afraid that he will hurt her like he hurt me. He says that he really likes her and that he doesn't want to hurt her...but he as also said that he never meant to hurt me. I would love to believe that this time it would be different, but i highly doubt it. I am wondering weather to tell her all the things that he did...to hopefully show her how many months i wasted on this kid, and save her from it all. I was so messed up this past year, with two deaths in my family, and add him on top. I wish telling her that would make her think twice about getting involved. What i am worried about is pissing her off, or pissing him off. I don't want her to think i am in anyway jealous or that i want another shot with him...because i learned my lesson, and hopefully i will NeVeR go through that again. Also, after 3 months i have finally forgiven this guy for everything and we have just started talking again. I don't wanna screw that up because we have classes and other things together and I don't want to make things akward again. So I need advice...let me know what y'all think

You just knew the girl so she might not be receptive of what you are going to warn her. As a friend, you should tell. But say it in a nice way. Maybe you could ask her to be careful while with him? And as he is a playboy, I'm sure you are not the only one who notices. Probably you could ask your friends to warn her too. but do not make it as if you guys were conspiring against her. All the best. Tell me how it went.

I agree with siti84. You have to be delicate with things like this, otherwise you'll just get egg on your face and things'll end up a bigger mess than when you started. Just simply tell her to becareful with him and leave it at that. People have to make their own mistakes sometimes, and maybe he really does care for her. Also, you might want to bring it up with him...in the gentlest way possible. Or not, depending on how brave you are and how tactful you can be. It's a tough position to be in, especially at your young age. The best thing you can be is honest. It's better than not saying anything at all. If she's really a friend, she'll understand. *nodnod*

You can't control anyone's actions other than your own. Which stinks... but it's the way things are.. you can't stop this other girl from liking him. If you tell her what you know... in a friendly and non threatening way... you've done all you can and if she gets upset... it's her fault.. If HE gets upset.. it's a guilty conscience.. I don't really know what else to tell ya... but no matter what you do decide to do.. their actions are not your fault and you don't need to feel bad about it...

Well I think the 1st 3 comments covered it pretty good.... I'm pretty sure that he'll wind up hurting her as well... but the best thing can do is be honest... I hope that it all works out good!
