And I mean really odd.

Honestly, I don't even want to go into the details. Except to say that it was weird.


And that we had the first open mic poetry reading of Way Too Loud Poetry. I was a crowd favorite, which was fantastic. I read one of my own and three of J. Tarin Towers'. It was fun fun fun.

Then Parker drunk dialed me and said that the reason he stands me up every time we have plans is that I scare him. That with every other girl he talks to he feels like he's in control, but with me, he doesn't. That he likes it, but it scares him. That the one time we kissed (it was under a full moon and extremely romantic, but I doubt he remembers those details) was the greatest kiss he'd ever had. That even though it was just a single, simple kiss, it was perfect.


And that the truth comes out when you're drunk.






I played along. "Uhhuh," I said. "I miss you too," I said. "It's okay, we'll do something soon," I said. I said I forgave him.




But the truth is, if the truth only comes out when he's drunk, then I don't want to hear it.
