I re-did my room.

It is now Yellow and Purple, and I believe I'll move the furniture back in a bit.

I also rock because I can thrift like no other.

Who else got a turn table/reciever in absolutely terrific condition for only $50?

I also got a hella tight scarf that I gotta figure out how to wear. Wish I had gotten it before I went to get my yearbook photos made though, because I definitely do have a very apparent hickey. Ickkk.

I also got four records: A tango record, a Brazilian music record, a Bob Welch (you know, Bend Me Shape Me Anyway You Want Me) record, and a Rhythm of Hollywood record. That last one is Hollywood music remixed to dance to. They're all in great condition and only cost a dollar each. Yussss!

I also got a bunch of rockin' old photographs, but I couldn't find the one I really wanted. When I went in earlier this week I found one that I'm almost certain was of my grandma. I hid it to make sure when I came back today it would still be there, but I couldn't find it! Grrrr. But I got some other amazing ones. Also I got a mirror. It's just a rectangle mirror and it's kind of boring, but I really wanted somewhere I could insert pictures. I've been collecting Sweet Leaf bottle caps this summer, so I glued them around the edge, and am going to stick pictures behind them.

Once my Room is nice and set up I'll probably take some photos and show off my talent. Heh.

John came over today to keep me company while I painted, and we messed around with Earl (my record player) for a while. Apparently, doing the wicca-wicca thing screws up the needle. Oops.

Is there a way to make mix-records? That would be so awesome. I want one with the Ben Folds cover of Bitches Ain't Shit and the Old Crow Medicine Show song Wagon Wheel on it. Other songs too. I just think those would be great on record.

I ordered a CD from Ralph's back at the beginning of the summer and still haven't gotten it. I'm thinking about going up there and being like, "Hey, if it's never coming in, can I just have some store credit? I want to get me a record." They've had a Band of Horses record in there for forever, and I think that would be a good one to have. I love Band of Horses. I don't think I can see them this year though, even though they're playing at ACL. I really want a Gogol Bordello record, too, but I know I'm going to see them at ACL. Hmmm.

Anybody else going to ACL? Anyone other than Jon even know about ACL?

I'm listening to really upbeat music reminescent of the music on Oh Brother Where Art Thou and it's giving my brain a boost, that's why this entry is so random and slightly manic. Hmmm.

Going to fix my room now. Pichas lata, yo.

Oooh, I should bring my massive turntable/receiver thing up to my new apt. It's darn sexy.

I don't own any records, and it is huge. I doubt we'd have adequate space for it. Maybe after I have a house.

If I brought it up to my soon to be new place, I'm certain one of my friends would never EVER leave, because he's totally into things like that.

We'd probably get a good selection of crazy 80's vinyl, though... Hrm.
