Kris's birthday is tomorrow.
He wants to hook up as his present.
And I'm totally telling him we can.


Even though I know it's not going to happen.
Honestly, I am no longer attracted to Kris at all.
I really wish he would stop seeing me as just a hook up and try to get to know me the way he used to, so we could just be friends again.
That was a good time of life.

Now I'm promising him a birthday present I really don't want to give him, and knowing that I won't let him have it in the end.

It's mean, and even though he did basically the same thing to me for two and a half years, I still can't justify doing it.

It's just easier than flat-out saying no, and it keeps him actually talking to me. I don't know. It's weird. Like, despite the fact that even talking about hooking up with him wears me out, I still crave his attention.

Probably some psychological/biological thing. Wish I could figure it out, though.

It was the opposite with me.
I couldn't help but talk to my ex, even though we sometimes got in nasty fights...I just craved attention, and she knew me best.

We're great friends now, though. Maybe things will work out for you, too!
