I saw death today. I know because I had seen her before. She had not changed in all those years. The last time I was but a boy swimming and treading the atlantic ocean. I was at one of those ages that made me invincible or so I thought until faced with danger. This time danger almost became death as I was determined to reach that SandBar where the waves were huge, because I saw others much bigger than me doing the same. Out there alone because my little brother had already lost his battle with the waves. This gave me a bigger sense of pride. I was like a Champion Boxer dukeing it out with Mother Nature. I would get one step forward and the waves would push me two steps back. Then I saw her. She was younger than me and she floated beside me unbothered by the waves. She reached out to grab my hand and I went under. I could see water washing over above me and the sunlight protruding through and now I was caught by the wave and the undertoe. It was scary and beautiful because thats what death is.

I was saved. Two girls saw me go under and came to my rescue. Once I was cleared headed and the adreneline had subsided I looked out to see if that girl had won against the waves, but she was no longer there.

I told my Mother that evening, "I saw a girl next to me in the water when I was starting to drown and she reached out to grab me. "

My mother looked down ever so lovingly and replied, "They say that Death sometimes comes to those as a little girl."

"Why a little girl momma?"

"Because people are often upset when they die, but who could be upset at a little girl?"

I can be upset with a little girl if she tried to kill me.

it seems that other people coment on your Nutang.. and you don't even advertise :-(. Anyhow Ive said this on the phone but I thihnk you have done a really good job here. Harbor no doubt: you h ave talent!!! Infact if you were to look up awsome possum squared in the dictionary your conversations with death would be right next to it. :-) Keep writing!

Well I waited for your return on guild wars... I caught all the way up... and then went to Far Cry for a bit perhaps an hour... when I returned to guild wars i found a focus item good for necromancer types... it looks like a sock pupet , kind of. A sock puppet of medusa. i think you might like it
