Ba-Dun, Tsch!
Loving life!
My entries!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this a trap?
Thursday. 5.27.10 9:01 am
So I usually do the same thing when I come into work everyday.
I walk in, grab a cup of water, sit at my desk and take my medicine (Which sucks, btdubs) while my computer loads up, and then I facebook.
I mean, I just look over it and see if I have any comments or messages and junks. Then I'd sign off and get to work.

So today, I'm going through my routine and I get to the facebook bit and I notice I have some friend requests....I look and one is from this guy that looks like a complete douche bag. I have no idea who this guy is but he's into the Thug life and looks completely high and wasted in his profile picture. DENIED! The OTHER friend request I got is from a Co-worker....Her name is Kim....and she's the HR at the company. I don't know if I shared this with you guys but not that long ago I got into trouble for being on facebook too much and not getting my work done. Since then I make sure that I only get on facebook when I'm caught up (which is more often than I like). So I'm a little apprehensive about accepting Kim as a friend on facebook. Is she doing this because she really wants to keep in touch that way or something...? Or is she doing this to keep tabs on me and rat me out when I get online when I'm not suppose to? I don't want to offend her by not accepting her friend request but I also don't want to risk my job by accepting....What to do....what to do....

Also, Today is my friend's second to last night of freedom before she gets married on Saturday so we're suppose to be going out to celebrate...on a Thursday.....in Baltimore City.....drinking...and Dancing...and staying out super late....and I have to work the next day....ugh.
Granted, I don't HAVE to drink. (I'd actually prefer not to for this particular evening) but I want my friend to have an awesome time and she'll feel bad if I didn't partake in ALL the festivities so maybe I'll just get buzzed and call it a day.

I wish I had more money. I don't exactly have the funds or gas for this....With moving out and all....but its almost like my last night of freedom financially speaking because money is going to be super tight until I get that stupid second job.

I would either not add her and tell her you like to keep your personal life seperate from work should she ask or add her and put her on a limited list so she can only see certain aspects.

I agree with lyndeep, firstly, and secondly, I don't think you need to drink much. Sure you could have a bit, but would your friend really mind that much if you didn't have a lot? People can have fun without being intoxicated.

I hear awful things about work + facebook that I'd be hesitant to add her, too. Especially an HR person... =S
Or you could take a cop out and "forget it's there." If she asks, "Oh, I don't remember seeing your request... When did you add me?" Or something like that.
But that would be horrible. At least, I would feel sleazy for doing it (although I probably would. I'm a wimp in awkward social situations.)

Ahhh....I would stay away from an HR person trying to be your friend on facebook. And if she asks, like Lyndeep said, just tell her work and personal life are separate.

and just make sure you have a good time that night whether you drink or not!
