MLK Jr day
Monday. 1.21.13 8:50 pm
Urgent Care was busy, which is normal for holidays, as the clinics are all closed, but it happened much earlier than expected. There was already an hour wait by 7:15 in the morning. It didn't let up the entire rest of my shift. I can only imagine how much worse it got as the day continued. I'm just glad I got to leave at 2.

Jacob introduced me to this game called FTL: Faster Than Light. It's addicting, but so is every other game that I seem to talk about on here. Speaking of which, I'm already bored with Battle Friends. I still play it; I'm just bored with it. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before FTL wears on me.

I also had to give in to the system today. My boss called up bitching about the fact that I hadn't gotten my flu shot yet and if I didn't get it done by the end of the day I would be removed from the site. Blah blah blah. Since I do still need a job, I settled for getting stabbed. I got stickers out of the whole ordeal so I suppose it had it's perks. Hopefully by next flu season I will either be at a job that doesn't require me to get the flu shot or I'm actually in a medical setting where it makes sense for me to get one. Being a security officer {who is strictly hands off when it comes to patients} I don't see the point. I don't deal with patients the same way as the clinical staff. Whatever. I waited it out as long as I could.

The rain is supposed to come back sometime in the next few days. I'll be happy when it does because not only will the fog go away, but the temperatures will rise a little bit.

I need to go to bed soon so I think I'm going to browse the net a little bit, maybe play another round of FTL to see how far I can get {which hasn't been far yet} and then call it a night.

Until tomorrow NuTang. . .

I got the soup from a restaurant. They change their soups daily, so I'm really hoping the next time I go they'll have it again...

Flu shots aren't that bad, are they? It's just a bit of a prick and takes all of five seconds.

I can see why they wanted you to get the shot just to keep the virus as away as possible since you never know if like a patient will come up on you or anything... for your safety too so you don't end up stuck with it.
That's part of why I'm so anti daycare... Bubba hasn't had a flu shot since he was 6mo and I can't even remember the last time I had one. I don't like the idea of him being stuck with mercury and H1N1 that is now included in the flu shot (they don't do it separately anymore). Especially given that he has bad reactions to even his regular milestone vaccinations... I'd hate to see what injecting him with a little bit of the flu would do :(
