I went climbing yesterday with Jacob and his friend Mike. We all went to a new spot, a new trail, that happened to be a little more rocky than the past ones.

I had fun and got pretty far, but not without injury. I have a nice inch and a half gash on my shin along with puncture wounds from cactus enocunters and multiple bruises.

I had to remove a tick that I didn't know I had until a few hours ago. The bug was dead, but it was still there. I didn't realize it until I ran my hand over a part of my side and hit what felt like a bruised area. I lifted up my shirt to reveal a small, dead tick hanging out of my side. It's kinda creepy thinking that I slept through the night and went out to breakfast this morning without the knowledge of my parasitic tag-a-long.

The gash is a result of a fall onto some sharp rocks. It should leave a nice scar.

Now the cactus encounter. I was trying to figure out how to get down from a fairly high gap between levels when I slipped and sat down on a cactus. What had to happen was that we sent Mike along his way so that I could pull my pants down and have my boyfriend remove the pricks stuck there. It was at such an angle, I couldn't see where they were or how many were there. Not as embarassing as one would think. Just a funny story about how I sat on a cactus and had to have my boyfriend remove the pricks from my butt.

Anywho, I'm feeling better, but my nose will still give me issues every so often and I still have a slight cough. The cough I was expecting though.

Mike left very late last night. It was sad to see him go. He's a lot of fun to be around. We're planning a trip up to Michigan in May and Mike wants to come back at the end of the summer. So if all that happens it should be a lot of fun.

I had a tick in the corner of my eye last month! No idea how it got there but it sure hurt a lot when I tried to get it out.
