Today started out pretty good. I woke up an hour earlier than I would normally have, but it gave me about an hour on the comp before I had to leave for work.

When I got to work, I didn't have to turn any of the lights or anything on {seeing as how Erin had done that in the hour and a half she was there while the hoods were being cleaned} so I got started on prep. She even provided us with a prep list so that we'd know what we had to do. It was a decent length, nothing to difficult though. But at noon, when the store opened and my last employee was supposed to arrive, she didn't show. I tried calling her on both numbers, leaving messages on both, but no answer. I tried calling a couple other people who could have come in to work, but no one was available. That's when I knew that today was going to be a long day.

We were a person short today and this person happened to be my delivery driver. I don't have a car so I couldn't take over. Tiffany was the only one with a car, but she's not old enough to deliver pizzas yet, so what I had to do was have Nic borrow Tiff's car so that we could take delivery orders. It sounds confusing, but it really wasn't.

Luckily it wasn't terribly busy during the day shift so it worked out only having three of us there instead of four. We had to keep switching around every time Nic got a delivery. Tiff went into pizza {cuz I was manager and didn't feel like tossing pizza} and I was in the kitchen and at the register and checking the dining room and doing the dishes and answering the phones. When Nic wasn't delivering he was in pizza, Tiff was in kitchen and I was doing everything else. Oh yeah, add prepping food to that list of stuff I had to do.

When the night shift came along, only one person was actually on time. Then I found out that the pizza closer couldn't come in {he had to go to Phoenix for some reason} so he had Tori come in for a couple hours and he was going to pay Nic for staying and closing. Nic opened and now he has to close. I hated doing that so I know how he feels. Finally, everyone from the night shift showed up and I was able to leave shortly after 7. Needless to say, today was a very long day.

I texted Stuart today, but when he didn't answer {he hadn't answered my last few texts either} I called him to see why. I wasn't going to actually ask him 'why haven't you answered my texts?' I was just gonna say hi and see how he was doing and what he was up to; just casual. But when I called his phone wasn't on. Legitimate reason for not answering me. I still kinda wish I could talk to him though. I wonder why his phone isn't on. Whatever. Maybe tomorrow it'll be back on.

I'm watching Pirates of the Caribbean right now. Its about the only thing on that I'm interested in watching.

I have to work tomorrow and then I finally have a day off to relax. Till tomorrow. . .

It's minty, and not nauseatingly so!

It's not on their website, lest I'd have a picture of it. I like posting pictures of things.

Re:comment
That tends to happen to pretty much everyone. You get a rush of energy and then you sink. Some people just don't get the rush though and end up just feeling the lag.

I find that the key for me is to get hyped up, get as much done before it wears off, and once it does, that's a great time to take a little break to move around and get blood flowing again. And then if necessary, re-dose, lol. Definitely not the healthiest habit, but when I'm in the zone, I can't be bothered to change what's worked for me. Breaking old habits can wreak havoc on productivity even if it may be a healthier option to do so. Ah, well. I guess I'm just a slave to productivity. Aren't we all to some degree?
