-You are talented in many ways. -The only certainty is that nothing is certain. -You will soon discover how truly fortunate you really are. -You have a friendly heart and are well admired. -Your dreams are never silly; depend on them to guide you. -The smart thing to do is to begin trusting your intuitions. -You are more likely to give than give in. -Your path is arduous but will be amply rewarding. -Love truth but pardon error. -You are a man of righteousness and integrity. Wednesday. 6.9.04 10:01 pm Today wasn't too bad. I spent the majority of the day recording songs and then tweaking them in Cool Edit. From what I had done last night along with today, I have 7 songs recorded (well, 5/6 full songs, depending on how you look at it, and one that's the start of a song). Not that I exactly have a band, but I'm calling it the "Thoughts Without Words" EP. My whole purpose for recording the songs was to be able to listen to them in order to work out lyrics. It's hard enough just to play the guitar part a lot of the time, so I thought I'd make it easier on myself for the next hurdle. Heh, I've been all giddy about it, whoring out my music to my friends, but whatever, I'm proud of what I've done and I'm allowed to show it. My mom joined another book club (which is located in Camp Hill, like the other two we belong to. There must be some massive colony of book clubs there, it's kinda weird), and we got the books she had ordered. I now have my own copy of The Da Vinci Code, along with Grimm's Grimmest (the uncensored, gruesome stories by the brothers Grimm) and Signs, Symbols, and Omens by Raymond Buckland (a symbolism book!). I'm excited to eventually read them. Since I'm on the topic of books, while I was on my lunch break one day at DG, I went across the street to this store called Pagination (a used books and giftshop kind of place). It was pretty nice in there, and they sell the books at a good price--$5 for hardback, $2 for paperback. I didn't spend the time to thoroughly scrutinize the shelves, but I did see the Vampire Chronicles set by Anne Rice, which is only $8 since they're paperbacks. Once I finally start getting paid, I'll most likely end up buying some books in there. I'm such a nerd. On the topic of jobs, it's such a mess. The whole job deal blows. It's sad, but I actually miss doing physical labor for the Camp Hill borough, because at least I know that was always a 40 hr/week job. I've been working basically every other day at DG since there's this lack of management (since they fired them all), and I haven't even started back at the Radisson yet. I must admit that I was very surprised my manager from the Radisson actually called me twice. I don't like sitting around and doing nothing. Something has to be wrong when I don't enjoy days off. Hopefully things will get rolling with these jobs and I'll make it through the summer, hopefully saving up a good amount of money. Next year though, screw this haphazzard bullshite, I'm gonna look for a job and hopefully be hired before summer break even begins, that way I can start working in May as soon as I get home. 1 Comments.
