Tuesday. 5.11.04 8:30 pm I've spent quite a few hours unpacking, cleaning my room, rearranging my room, packing up stuff for school in the fall, etc. Well, in the process of moving things around and going through some old things, even getting rid of something things, I stumbled across something that didn't recognize at first (aside from my own handwriting, which was obvious), but realized was something I had written back in High School. I think it's pretty cool, so I thought I would share it with you. "We live our lives cowering in fear; of love, of hate, of responsibility, of each other. We dwell in the misery of existence. Individuality is heresy. Society is our fascist dictator. Conformity is the aversion to the very nature of our being. We do not share the visage of one, nor do we all have one collective thought, but we all succumb to our innate fear of non-acceptance. We are marrionettes in the hands of our apprehension. Fear drives society to attack those who stand out." My natural instinct was to edit that as I typed it, but instead I copied it word-for-word to capture what was written a few years ago.
