San nichi.
So I've finished my third week of the class. It's a lot of fun. The girls have toned it down and I no longer have the urge to strangle them. Someone gave the younger girl some Ritalin since she calmed down after the first day. I thought it would just be reading in romaji and speaking, but we're also learning hiragana. It's sooooo hard to write!
Class this week I was asking about temoto funyoi since when I was looking up otemoto an example of how to use temoto was temoto funyoi. It turns out you wouldn't really use that term. Also one of the students teaches foreign students and when I was saying I needed to find someone who can translate my adoption papers she said one of her students is coming back in January and for a rough translation her student would be able to help. That would be great since I'm really interested in finding out my medical history. After what's happened recently with my husband and I, my desire to find out has become much more important. Just not important enough to pay the outrageously stupid prices I've come across. I realize I'm a skeleton in their closet and I don't mind staying in there, I just want to know if cancer, heart disease, high cholesterol, etc. runs in my biological family. Doctor's can say it's not always genetic all they want, but not always isn't a 100% term.
There's a pocket Asian in the class who I get along very well with. We were chatting up a storm after class, mainly after different animes and mangas and after we said goodnight my husband said, "For a moment I thought you were going to take her home. At least you have good taste." tee hee hee If I could take her home I would! She's just really fun to be around and I haven't had much time to read Kuri, Nuttz or Reyne's blogs and I haven't talked to the twins, Kitty or Sayumi very much so it's nice to be able to talk to about manga and anime with someone besides my husband.
There isn't much interesting on my blog. Just normal rants about things I can't let go just yet.
Your Japanese class is really really really interesting.. I wanna be in one too!! To tell you the truth, I remember more hiragana than katakana. From my point of view, hiragana is easier to learn as it is more widely used. Still for some words like baka, it is written in katakana and I've been wondering for sometime why is that so. I will find time for Japanese class later, I need to get myself a part time job (I have been saying that line for about a month or two).

And Katrina-nee, I just remembered, a good way to remember hiragana characters is to write the lyrics of your favourite Japanese songs in hiragana.

meow meow. if only i have enough money to go for classes. anyway ... thank u for remembering my blog!!
it's important to know the medical history of ur family because if you have any serious illness, doctors will first ask u for ur medical history and that's including family.

Re: Ahh... Fergie... No doubt her songs are upbeat, I sometimes find her songs a little.. lame..
I haven't watched Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift yet.. Tho.. I agree that certain movies have really nice soundtrack although the movie sucks. If it isn't a bother, I would love to listen to the soundtrack that you have.
People here has some dumb ass mentality! If you like to read manga/watch anime/know some random Japanese words, you would be some Japanese wanabee. If I were to listen to a few Japanese songs which I happen to like from watching anime or something my other friends send to me, some others would be assuming that I listen to ALL Japanese songs and would download them all the time. After a few months, some friends will tell me "Oh! I thought you were some Japanese wannabee at first."

meow meow. thanks for the advise. i got what u mean about the person to be with may not fulfil the requirements. but i usually use that excuse when someone is trying to imply to give chance to my suitors.. sometimes to the extend of cajoling.
but yea... very true... i would never know if the one is not in my list at all!
