The Pensieve
Callahan's Law: Shared pain is lessened; shared joy is increased.

The universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Narn or Human or Centauri or Gaim or Minbari. It speaks in the language of hope."
"It speaks in the language of trust. It speaks in the language of strength and the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. But always it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors speaking through us and the voice of our inheritors waiting to be born. The small, still voice that says: 'We are one. No matter the blood, no matter the skin, no matter the world, no matter the star. .. We are one. No matter the pain, no matter the darkness, no matter the loss, no matter the fear. .. We are one.' Here, gathered together in common cause, we begin to realize this singular truth and this singular rule that we must be kind to one another. Because each voice enriches us and ennobles us and each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light our way to a better future. We are one."
"We are one."

"They aren't as dreadful as the old cells," Illyan objected mildy. "I remember those. Spent a month under arrest in 'em myself, thirteen years ago." He cast a slightly sour smile at Miles. "Something about the Lord Regent's son's private army, and a certain treason charge."

Besides, DS9 had a captain that was actually likable, a shapeshifting security chief, and a tailor who was once the alien version of James Bond.

"I have come to the conclusion that the dashing young knight, who was supposed to ride in on his snow white horse and sweep me off my feet, has apparently become lost in the forest and is too stubborn to ask for directions."

To all my fellow physics students, may your Hilbert spaces be small and your bosons and pi-mesons be heavy. May your quarks have mass, and your lasers stay cool. May your particle accelerators smash with a vengence, and may your grad students graduate before death. To physics, and beyond!

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

Yet another semester
Monday. 1.17.05 11:53 am
So classes started today (glares at Erin and Bunny). The deforms class is *not* gonna be fun, though I can understand the prof so far. AOE Materials looks like slightly less of a headache, and somewhat more interesting.(I hope, and at least we get open book, open notes exams....yaaay!) Aircraft Preformance looks to be so far my *easiest* class; I had the prof last semester, and she is pretty cool. Tomorrow are dynamics and operational methods. Oddly enough, I am looking foreward to the operational methods class. (It's a math class, having something to do with diffeq, for those of you who know what I'm refering to....and I dont usually look foreward to math classes.) Well, now to chill until my roomie gets back and we go and get books. I actually already got mine, but since she got in at around 9 pm last night, she didnt exactly have a chance to get books. Oh, and by the way, our new Blackboard is really aweful. I can't even access it most of the time, and when I do, it goes *so* slow, its laughable. *sighs* Well, may the Force be with you.

Hey!
Hey, just wanted to holla at u! Haven't seen you or becca, erin, caisey, or tara in a while. Try to have a good year. Look on the bright side, at least you don't have to do 20 hours of community service for American Lit. like me. That means you don't have to reluctantly participate in actividades estupidos por classes mal. Sorry, a little too much spanish came outta that one. Pity it didn't come that easy last semester.I need to get my AIM fixed. It's acting a biz-nitch. Well drop me a line at: [email protected], [email protected], (434) 395-4028 [room] or (434) 981-2300 [cell].
