Vacation and Work!
Saturday. 8.28.04 2:06 pm
Err, Yeah. Tomorrow morning, I will be on my way, FINALLY, to Myrtle Beach for vacation. I have been waiting fort he past 2 weeks to get to go. It'll be nice to get out of the house, and be able to be at a pool and not responsible for the people swimming in it.

On that note, I am looking for a new job. My initial hopes were Movie Gallery or the local theater. Movie Gallery is still possible, but since I never ran into a manager when getting or returning my application, I have no clue if they are looking for workers. So I also applied to Winn Dixie, and the 2 local Food Lions, one still being built. I also had to hand in a note will all of my applications, noting that the week after I turned in my applications, I would be out of town, and that I can’t work on Saturday to and through November, since, with any luck, the library will have need for me to volunteer that day. And if they don't, Ill have to try for the animal shelters again, or risk not getting the hours I need to graduate. All the same, I'm sure I can pull it off. Just mildly annoying that every time I try to get something handled in person, whoever I need to see is not there...

Anyway, vacation = good. Even with the threat or rain in the early week with Gaston.

Heh, I also remembered something amusing, but annoying at the time, times from the Olympics... Well, actually a few things... but all the same...

Well, the first one was with my dad... I don't remember what I was doing at the time. Probably a work application. Anyway, a match for Field Hockey was on... one of the medal matches. Well, neither my dad nor I know anything about the rules or penalties. But apparently the announcers either didn't know that not every one knows field hockey like the back of their hand, or just didn't know anything themselves, because they didn't explain ANYTHING that was going on. He was like "Why did they get the ball back? What the HELL is a green card?!?" He eventually looked up field hockey rules. And for anyone who didn't know, a green card is a mild warning, I guess...

The next one was last night, or sometime in an evening. It was the Women's 3M Springboard diving... prelims... I think. But if you see any diving, or at least any women's diving, there is this ANNOYING female announcer. For one, she keeps going on about the mistakes in peoples dives, but the topper of this evening is this little bit of info on this one Russian ( I think) diver, that she must have wanted us to know. "Her coach calls her Boo-boo" "... you know, her coach likes to call her Boo-boo." I mean, it was like, the only thing she could think about for this diver. Drove me and my parents NUTS. As soon as my parents left, even though I love watching diving, I turned it off. I didn't want to hear about "Boo-boo" again.

Anyway, that's about it. Who knows, perhaps Ill post more once school starts... we shall see... See ya!
