So Edward had to go to this lunch thing at his boss' house with a bunch of other people today and this morning he joked about maybe they were all getting fired. And I asked him if that was an actual possibility and he shrugged.

So, okay, a few hours go by and I get this text message, "It's time for me to start looking for another job."

That means he lost his job right?! Because... that is exactly where my crazy brain went and then I sent him a weepy email about how sorry I was that this happened, and I included a link to a decent-ish job posting I found on Craigslist and told him I loved him and all this SUPPORTIVE stuff and then over an hour later he texts me back, "I'm just sick of being treated like shit whenever I have to interact with JJ." JJ owns the company he works for.

So thanks for the heart attack MAN. But I'm glad he's not getting laid off and we won't end up homeless on the streets.

well if he gets laid off, maybe he'll get a nice severance, so you won't have to move DIRECTLY to the street.

I'd totally think the same thing as you if I got that text after my boyfriend joked about getting fired. I don't know if I'd react the same way, but I'd definitely be freaked out until he assured me otherwise.

YOU KNOW EDWARD?? I would totally just beat JJ's ass if I were in his position. And I don't even care if it's in the sunlight; I'd sparkle and be damn proud of it.
