This has been something pressing my mind for a while now. Nutang is a haven tucked away in the depths of the internet, away from Myspace and similar evils, but like all havens it is hard to find. It certainly isn't mainstream for that matter, so my question is how did you find Nutang? I know it sounds a little cheesy but I'm wondering how the Tang's dominion has spread.

To kick start this thread (which I haven't done since the beginning of these new forums), I'll start with my epic tale. Or maybe not, but we can call it epic. My friend Garbage Can, a.k.a. Serendipity introduced me to this marvelous place back when I was still a fledgling blogger learning the ropes. How did she find it? Lord knows, but one day I may ask so we can better understand the origins of the Island. And the baboons too, what's up with them.

Cbox advertisement. I have one on my Xanga so I saw the ad about twenty times before checking it out.

my sister {Midnightmonkey} introduced me to this place. I have no idea how she found out about it though. maybe she'll read this thread and explain her journey into finding out about this place.

I got my Nutang username from my Cbox, actually. The title of the module on Xanga is "All that random junk".

Katrina was asking those at Animanga to click on Kuri's site so that she'll earn money to buy a new Bento box.. That's how I got here.

My used to be good friend put it on her myspace. I got an invite code and opened my nutng but then I didnt use it for like 4 months lol.

Cbox from Flooble?

I saw it on the Flooble homepage, ALL the way at the bottom...

I came across Nutang in 2005. I found it using yahoo, it was an advertisement. When i was looking for a closed off, not totally overblown community of journalists, that were just like me, i saw the link. I signed up under an old old name of mine, Inuyasha. Ever since then, i seem to keep slipping back here. Before, i made a new name called imnotokay. I left for a couple of months, and now i'm back for good, logged in to my imnotokay name, since it was an invite only basis now. I happened to have an invite code in that name, and signed xxallenemiesxx up for blogging. Here i am today! Living on the wondeful island of Nutang, and i wouldn't have it any other way.

I was looking around on Google and saw someone's blog (I can't remember who's) and I knew I really wanted to join here. I had been thinking for a LONG time about blogging, so it was nice to find somewhere as welcome and as inviting as NuTang :)
