Some people are selfish, they only think of themselves. Some people also love to remind people of their uselessness. I rebel whenever someone make me feel useless.

Hmm...I can relate to what you feel because many years ago, I was as "passionate" as you. I think I still am but after a few years of working, I realize that this type of "aggressive" style doesn't work :-)

I started as young as Std 5 ticking my friends off for using straws drinking Coke, using plastic bags for sandwiches and other unenvironemntally-friendly practices LOL

I ended up being seen as a psycho LOL Later, I met others who are equally passionate about the environment. They approach things rationally and try to think of HOW to make that person WANT to preserve the environment on their own. See?

I can feel that you really care about the environment, which is great! The world needs more people like you...remember that ok :)

hey
It's not easy to create public awareness. Many a time when I bring a tiffin carrier to the hawker stall to pack my soupy noodles instead of using their plastic bags, I get stare down. It wouldn't be easy to educate a passerby in a crowded coffeeshop who has an attitute like that, and most time I didn't bother to. I believe that we do what we can and don't fret over what we couldn't. that being said, I also find plastic wrappers user friendly in comparison to other disadvantages, like where kids is minded to come home after a field trip with missing lunchbox or missing dividers, I am more likely to use plasticbags when their lunch. I am not totally against plastic and disposables, but I try my best. I hope that make sense? and I do hope I don't offend any environmental friendly readers out there.

meow allthingspurple
thank u for dropping by.

it makes sense and don't worry u r not offending any environmentalist readers here! the simple fact in our lives is there is no way we could be 100% environmental friendly because somehow we cannot avoid using plastic bags and such in our daily lives unless we are prepared to revive the stone age. i personally use plastic bags for rubbish but still i try to cut it down.

the reason i was mad and perturbed in this post is because a) this colleague of mine don't have to throw the mineral bottle over the fence which society at large condemn it and b) the action of littering is acknowledged by my assistant manager as a right thing to do while me telling him off is acknowledged as a wrongdoing.

this is what makes me disappointed not because the mineral bottle can be recycled or not even though that plays a very minor part.

it also danwns on me on a truth that i really need to practise my patience and retain my sanity of working with people who are not on the same brain level as me. and indeed i got no right to state this but it's a band truth i have to accept to keep myself from fretting everyday in the office.

What you did is the right move, the only thing that is wrong is you shouted accidentally and that makes all the difference. Well people can just take that as an excuse you see.
