Monday, January 1, 2007 @ 5:33 pm It's that it is a human construction designed to trick us into thinking that there's a cyclical nature to time itself when in reality it marches in a linear fashion right on until the end of the cosmic eye-blink we call life. Still. Maybe it's what we need to tell ourselves to cope with whatever bullshit is going down in our lives that's bringing us down. Doesn't make it any less pathetic (actually makes it seem MORE so), but I can see why we need it. We are just a bunch of pathetic creatures after all. 6 Comments. :| » lcas on 2007-01-01 08:45:35 Humans are incredibly obediant when it comes to those things. "It's MY LIFE!" comes out of our mouths, but really it isn't. Whose is it, do you suppose? » Silver-dot- on 2007-01-01 09:16:16 Hur hur, like everyone says: History repeats itself! :p » ikimashokie on 2007-01-01 09:35:16 Perhaps it's just easier to think of time as cyclical... even though if it were, I guess we'd start anew every day. Perhaps it's cyclical at some point, and we're just not aware of it. » ikimashokie on 2007-01-01 09:36:05 New years is a way to make us feel that we're older so that we see the need to change our ways.. but birthdays are worst.. it means that we're officially older. » Nuttz on 2007-01-01 11:18:21 it's all disgusting really.. i abide my it, i do. but it's pretty ridiculous if you think about it. if you're on the east coast, you're actually about 4 hours into the future, compared to those in california.. i feel pretty spectacular and FAR advanced. Bow down to me. » ThisCharmingMan on 2007-01-02 07:58:45
