A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Maybe they fell out of my bag on the airplane, or maybe they got left in the hotel room... I don't know. All I know is that I can't find them. This didn't bother me too much until I realized I lost my walrus button with the earmuffs. :\ I don't know if I can get another one, but I was really pleased when I found that because the walrus had a WTF expression and it just felt very... serendipitous to find it. Serendipity isn't a word I really use (ever) but it's something I like a lot. Well, as opposed to things that are intentionally good, I mean. The word just makes me think of Mary Poppins though. I bought Choice of the Deathless on Google Play for $2.99 and have been playing it the past day or so... I'm kind of falling into the same pattern with it as I fall into with the Sims, though. I have trouble deviating from what I think is the best path, so I end up playing almost the same way over and over again. You can pick a romantic partner in the story, and the first maybe five playthroughs I picked the same guy. After that, I picked a different guy. There wasn't as much exciting tension with the second guy, but he's more committed and romantic. :P The romance thing isn't that big a part of the story, though. It's kind of just a fun side thing I guess. Maybe I should try playing the story as a lesbian and seeing how that goes. 1 Comments. When I would play LIFE with my brother and sister, sometimes when I would get on the "GET MARRIED!!!!" space I'd put another girl in the front seat. Just because I CAN. » invisible on 2014-01-14 12:27:20
