I realize that I normally end up only bitching about work and not really having anything positive to say about it but I've finally been getting a lot of positive feedback the past week and a half. Last week my boss came into my store to interview a potential employee. She was late so I exlained most of the job's duties to him. After she interviewed him she told me that she was looking for a way to let me know that they appreciate the work I've been doing for over 6 months now. She gave me a glowing positive write up.

Well yesterday I called her before I left the store as we're always supposed to. I told her that I'd gottan a lot done but two of the things I've done weren't complete. Two things were missing. Now these things had nothing to do with me but I would do everything that I could to fix it anyway. Well she said that I was doing "excellent work". Well after we hung up both missing things ended up being found. I didn't want to call her again so I came home and E-mailed her with the two things that ended up being found. She reaffirmed that I am doing excellent work.

So hopefully I will get my 6 month review SOON as I've been there for a little over 7 months now. But it's sounding pretty good for me. I need as much of a raise as I can possibly get! Also, she still doesn't have a trainer now that might be kind of cool. I believe it's another 25 cent raise overall so even if I am not training someone I make another $40/month. Plus I believe that you get a little over $100 per new employee that you train. So...you can imagine that I am trying to get that position.

Now I need to eat, shower, get ready for work. go to work, work, come home and get my stuff ready and then leave for practice. It'll be a pretty long day but so will Jenn's and Chad's. Wish us luck as we practice for the big show tomorrow =0)

mood: Underwhelmed

I believe that I was in a weird mood today. All day. You know..I love wordplay and I used to mess around with the word Underwhelmed. Yes, the opposite of Overwhelmed. Instead of absolutely everything seeming to have crushing weight upon you, it's the feeling that nothing has any bearing on you or affects you in any way. The feeling that you are barely bound to the planet. Gravity's let go. And you could completely float away from the lack of urgent responsibilities.

So that's something like what I think I'd felt all day. And don't worry if you aren't certain what that would feel like because even I am not sure and I spent all day feeling it.

Anyways.

Preliminary numbers for the show on Friday sounds pretty encouraging. Our opening band should be bringing far more than any other band we've played with which is great because it's more people to work our asses off to try to impress with what we do. And we should have a lot of people that have heard the three songs on our demos but they'll get to hear about 7 or 8 other songs by us that they haven't heard yet. And hopefully the live show itself will be amazing. Can't wait. We'll make videos available =0)

I spent a few hours tonight working on the last big user-end feature of TMS ( mercury-system ) and so far it appears to be working perfectly so I am going to go over to that account and post about the feature(s) and then I am literally going to pass out for the night.

Another semi uneventful post but the day itself pretty much was. But alas, rock on!

PPS: Why the hell do I have 490 BlogMad credits?? My total just keeps going up and up without any signs of them coming down. I think a lot of people must have blocked me in their BlgMad control panel. Damn. I guess I could put 400 credits into the lotery to win another 100,000 credits sometime and then sell them off to someone else haha Send me traffic!
