Post-Weekend Update
Monday, December 11, 2006
I forgot to mention yesterday that I went to sleep at 9pm on Friday. Well went to bed at 9pm but it took me a little while to fall asleep which was weird because I was so exhausted. I was feeling that deep down sick feeling and was exhausted so I figured that I'd go to bed about 5 hours or more earlier than I normally would on a Friday. But I definitely needed it.

Saturday was band practice and not a whole lot less except for watching Beerfest which was awesome..while relaxing.

Sunday started with me taking Jenn to work and then stopping at Home Depot for something I needed for a project I had planned. We have a wall cling decoration with a fireplace decorated for the holidays and a wreath above it since we do not have a fireplace. I bought a shelf board and a set of brackets. I installed it over the wall cling where the mantel is. So now we will have a place to hang our stockings on Christmas Eve! Picutres will be forthcoming. I came home after I bought what I needed and put up icicle lights over our sliding glass door on the balcony and wrapped candy cane rope light around the railing. After that the eagles game started! We jumped out to a 21-3 lead and went into Halftime with a good lead. Rob called me a couple of minutes before Halftime ended and asked if I could take my mom to the emergency room. He said that it wasn't life or death so I could finish watching the game and I promised to be there right after the game ended.

The eagles just pulled off their win thankfully and I then made my way to my mom's. Rob took me down to the basement to show me some things that they thought that I might want to take back to my apartment and he told me that she's a bit better now but the previous three days she laid in bed not moving much, couldn't speak more than a word or two and had a glazed look in her eyes. He had to walk her to the bathroom because she kept trying to fall and she'd had pain near her kidneys. Well she was moving around a bit and talking but not making 100% sense She was saying that she didn't need to go to the hospital. Basically it was a good bit like the situation on Thanksgiving night which I had posted about only it was my mom and not Rob. He told her what he'd done for her the past three days because she couldn't do them herself and how worried he'd been and still is. She has health insurance coverage from being on disability right now and we talked her back into going.

So I sat there for nearly another hour while they got ready which I thought that they'd already been ready since that's what I went over there for. But I read one of Rob's joke books until they were ready. I drove them to the hospital and wished them luck. I made my way home to work on the mantel project. But after 10 minutes I noticed a missed call and voicemail on my cell phone. My mom had borrowed someone's cell phone and told me that she didn't have her purse with her medical card. So I drove back to the hospital again. I didn't see the purse so I brought Rob out but I found it when I opened the door...it was wedged between the door and the passenger seat. I am not sure how it didn't fall out when she got out my first trip to the hospital. We talked for a bit then he went back in to give them her medical card and I came back home again to put up the mantel.

That project was a little more involved than I thought it might be but it looks pretty good. I need to buy some more decoration for it (fake holly) but that'll have to wait until next paycheck because I am just above the broke line. And then Jenn texted me that the last bus from the mall for the night was over an hour before she got off of work so I drove out to get her and bring her back. After shopping she made dinner of macaroni and cheese with added pepperjack cheese to add a kick and hot chicken tenders which were made even better with my bacon ranch dressing. We watched Dane Cook's new special on DVD but I made it through only half. I went from laughing my ass off to realizing that I was no longer understanding half of the words he was saying and then Jenn was nudging me back to consciousness. I knew that it was time to sleep. I wanted so badly to finish it but I knew that it wasn't going to happen...so part two is on tap for tonight hehe

No call yet from my mom or Rob but I figured that would be the case. If they released her then they are sleeping in the waiting room until the busses start back up this morning. If they are keeping her overnight then Rob should be able to sleep in her room. I am worried..especially since she had told me a few months ago that her doctor said that it looks like she might be having the onset of Diabetes which does not run in our family. But I am glad that she atleast was better last night that she had been and hopefully things will be alright one way or another. And hopefully I won't be driving ANYONE to the Emergency Room for a long, long time.

It was a pretty busy weekend and it went pretty quickly with all of the running around. But it was still pretty good and I did get a good deal of sleep that I needed so all-in-all not so bad.

Now over the next three days I may be called out of my store to go to another store at any time so that adds some "excitement" to the week but hopefully it'll amount to nothing in the end.

Well that is it for now. Have to shower and get going but have a great day and I'll catch you on the underside.

PS. wish my mom luck. Thank you!

So here I am clicking numbers in BlogMad for credits (got a nice 28 point random credits so far this evening) and trying to finish up this baseball game I'm playing on PS2 so that I can fall asleep. I've gathered quite a few credits today and scored a lot of runs in only three games of baseball. In 87 games so far this season my team has scored a little over 2,300 runs. Impossible. Almost 100% yes. But who cares...i am not playing this game simply for realism.

Today the band practiced and we did pretty well without a drummer. Even though Brian (bassist) was an hour late and left us with only an hour to practice. Chad and I were having difficulties with one of the new songs that we want to try to work on so we did so by ourselves until Brian got there and it nearly made me ready to tell Brian to not come and pack up and leave for home. But I am very glad that we perservered as it went pretty well. I've spent the evening constantly refreshing the local section of Craigslist to try to catch posts that may be from a drummer that could help us out in the hopes that I'd be the first to send them an E-mail. Haven't heard anything back yet but I was expecting it to be atleast a day or two before I hear anything. But with our luck with drummers so far, I am pretty much expecting to not hear anything back from them. I really hope that I am incorrect in this assumption. But I will continue on with all of these activities throughout tomorrow.

I am waking up around the time that Jenn ( invisibleinkling ) wakes up to get dressed and drive her to work. I then have a handfull of errands to run. I am going to try to stop at my mom's as she says that there is a box of Christmas decorations that I've owned so i want to bring it back home and go through it as it may have some things in it that I've wanted which would save me the money if we already have 'em. I have to stop at a couple places to get stuff and hopefully I can keep it as cheap as I pray to because I am going to have very, very little money to get through the week. But I don't want to wait until my next paycheck for a couple of the items because I don't want to put it all up the week before Christmas! I can't divulge all of the plans because a certain someone will read this. But they should know Sunday evening what these things were/are.

I am going to try to put up the icicle lights that we have to put out on the balcony before the Eagles game starts because I am definitely going to need the light...I don't want to miss the eagles game...and it will be very nearly almost completely dark out when the game ends so I have to get it done beforehand. The rest of the stuff is inside stuff which I can do during the game/halftime/and after the game. Can't wait to post pictures of everything!

Well the Eagles are taking on the Redskins in the first of three division games played on the road...in a row. But now is their time to step up like they had last week and come out with atleast two wins. It will help immeasurably to have more divisional wins. So I will watch the game and then get on with the other stuff I have to do. And then relax and watch a good movie or something later with Jenn when she's done with work.

Well that's all that is of "importance" right now. But stay tuned as i'll be back soon...most likely later today/tonight. Have a great night!
