The real world. (Not the show)
Monday. 1.4.10 10:42 pm
I'm so anxious and worried about getting accepted in to the colleges of my choice.

My first choice is CofC, close second is USC.

I plan to major in International Business and hopefully later on master in it as well. I'm also going to be doing an intensive study of the Chinese language, Mandarin. Perhaps a smidgen of Cantonese.

Now, so many people are telling me to go to USC. Why? Because they're the number 1 school in the nation for International Business.

So, why am I not going there right away? I strongly believe in getting a college experience. I hate alcohol, and I hate drugs. So I don't have to worry about getting lost in a party scene. But I just love Charleston so much. It's a great city. I can get my degree in a city I love, then when it's REALLY time to focus on the hard stuff (when I go to get my masters) I can go to the number 1 school for my program. I can get down to business in a city that has nothing but the campus.

I don't know. I feel like I have a good plan. I know it's going to cost a crap ton of money. I'm preparing myself for the endless debts I'll have to the grave.

I've always felt that being at a comfortable with your surroundings helps you thrive in college. I understand what you're getting at.
