Haiz, couldn't slp properly in night b4. Not sure whether is jet lag or worried or sumthing. Accompanied by Grace and my mum, we went to school by bus. As i didnt buy the bus tickets (metrotickets), had to pay cash. Surprisingly, the driver has change ready in the form of tubes, which he presses down for change. Transport in Adelaide is quite ex. The single trip cost $1.60. The journey to the uni is quite fast ard 20-30 minutes. Well, most of the houses here are pretty short. The morning weather was very cold, hands were freezing, some ppl were wearing gloves. Mayb i should get one. The buildings of the Uni is very unusual. Like the ancient churches, made of bricks. Its very musem like. The place is realy huge, only went to a few buildings. Had to settle some things, firstly bought my metrotickets. My mum tut the tix can only use once and she bought 40 of them. The tix can be used for ard 10 times and costs $12 each. So the total bill came up to $360, SIAO rite? Then, secondly, went to the bank to open an account. Very slow process and my ATM card have to wait for 1 week to be delivered to my place, unlike singapore which is immediately. Lastly, went to the orientation camp. Was approached by a hong kong gal same course as me but different year. But it was really a conincidence. Really lucky rite? The so-called orientation only lasted for abt 10 mins, the actual enrolment is 2moro. Sian, bluff me come here so early. If not can spend more time wif D.D. Then, since got nothing else went to the shopping district which is across the street, Rundle St. The stretch is so long until my legs was numb from the walking. There is lot of shops, the clothes are very nice and the people there are friendly. They would ask "how are you?" Not normal in singapore rite? The prices here are scaled widely. There is cheap, middle price and above average expensive. Tink i would save up $ to buy some clothes. Hehe.... mayb once a month reward myself something. While shopping, saw alot of clothes ranging for underwear, tees, shirts and jackets that i am tempted to buy for D.D. Mayb bring him here for shopping. After 2h hours of shopping, went to have lunch at Hungry Jack's. The funny thing is till now, i haven't seen any Burger King here except the Hungry Jack's which looks so similar to BK. Well, "Since 1971, Australians wanting a "Whopper" have trekked to Hungry Jack's, which has an identical hamburger logo, menu, uniforms and look as the US chain. When Mr Cowin negotiated the right to be the Australian franchisee, the Burger King name was already copyrighted and he went with Hungry Jack's." So, i guess both are similar except tha Hungry Jacks dun serve any fish burgers. I really miss D.D. Checked my mail n saw an email by my dad. Truely touching, he explained to me yhe sent me here. And he addressed himself as "your loving father". I nearly cried. I tink abt it for sometime and replied to him how i was doing. Different parents have different ways of showing care and love towards their children. Although my dad didnt cry at the airport, i guess he was sad. Hehe.... Guess i will stop here.
