So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

I know that I'm early, and Valentine's Day is still some number of days above 20 away, which is practically like a month, I'm still going to talk about it because it was today that it occurred to me that Valentine's Day was on the horizon. So the thought of this glorious pink and purple and red day (just like the inside of your heart, right... but what about blue?) OH MAN... I just thought about how cool it would be if you did an experiment where you sealed your arm in an oxygen-less case and then you cut one of your veins... would you bleed BLUE BLOOD????? If I did this, and I bled blue blood, then I would definitely take an artistic picture and post it on deviantart.com, and then when people were like, "Hey, is that REAL??" I'd be like, "hell yes it is real." I'd just have to make sure to get the pressure in the case just right so that weird crap wouldn't happen to my poor arm. Maybe I could pay somebody else to be my model so I could get better photographs.... One girl had this picture where there was a syringe stuck through her tongue and blood squirting out all over her really pale lips and face, it was so gross. Turns out she normally has a tongue piercing, so she just took it out and stuck the needle through the hole and then had fake blood everywhere. wow. It's like one of the most popular deviantart images of all time. Actually, you can just see for yourself: Well, I suppose I got off-track and I will have to talk about St. Valentine another day. Tchuss! 5 Comments. It's ok. I ponder what to get Dave. It's coming on a year as well, so I doubly ponder what to get him. I still refer to Valentine's Day as Angry Pink Heart day. » ikimashokie on 2007-01-22 07:08:36 ah, valentine's day. For whatever reason I love that holiday - it's my favorite, well one of 'em anyways. It's going to be a bit sad this go around though seeing as i'm low on money. Mom will just have to settle for a mac and cheese jewlrey box this year I guess. lol I've ALWAYS wanted to do that. As soon as I found out that blood is only red because of the oxygen I wondered if we really would bleed blue. I have had the opprotunity to see it in action though!! I was watching some documentary about a wearhouse where they make/store dry ice and a guy cut himself. For scientific reasons that are vastly unknown to me something in the factory made it no so well oxygenated. So they show this guy's hand and he has a cut running across his palm...and the blood is BLUE! weird.... Hey - you find a model and I'd wanna sit in on the photo shoot! That's something I wouldn't want to miss. » Helena on 2007-01-22 07:40:25 I'd model if I didn't have a thing about people touching my wrist. Hm... Maybe if it's on the underside of my elbow, whatever that area is called. I hate anatomy. Weirds me out to the utmost. Oh, and the deviantart thing can't be viewed unless you have an account there, because it's "mature" content. » elessar257 on 2007-01-22 07:53:20 Holy Cow! That pic is so yucky! I dont have any other words for it. I dont think of valentines day when I see that. I more like think of halloween. ha ha. » kKaMa67 on 2007-01-22 08:34:25 that pic is amazing i do believe i see a faint set of letters. under her lips, next to the "2" pretty good idea. » middaymoon on 2007-01-22 08:36:45
