Disclaimer: Please excuse the use of foul language. I usually only use it when I'm pissed ... like now.

The United States Postal Service. Also known as USPS. AKA: snail mail. When you pay extra for express mail or overnight mail, usually its better as its guarenteed and whatnot. Well, I'm pissed the fuck off right now.

As I had mentioned in the last post, I was awaiting a package so I couldn't really leave my apartment until it arrived {not that I had anywhere to go, but that's beside the point}. My mom had gone to the post office on Thursday with an express mail package. She specifically told them that it needed to be delivered on Saturday before 3pm. And they said that would be perfectly fine.

Well yesterday when I got home from work, there was a slip in my door telling me that the USPS had attempted to deliver an express mail package. Yesterday was FRIDAY, not Saturday. The slip stated that they'd attempt to deliver again on the next business day, which was today.

I woke up at a somewhat decent time so that I wouldn't be woken up by someone knocking on my door. I stayed inside all fucking day so that I wouldn't miss the knock on my door. So when 5 o'clock came, I started going outside just to see if the mailtruck was there. At 6 it finally came. So I awaited the knock on my door. About 20 minutes goes by and no knock on my door. I go back outside to see that the mail truck was no longer there.

I go down to check my mail, just in case the person was a complete idiot and put it in my box rather than deliver it to me, and there was a slip. Only this slip wasn't in my door. This slip also didn't have all the extra bullshit stating that they were going to attempt to deliver agian. It didn't even say who sent the damn package! All it said was the item number and my address.

That's a bunch of bullshit! My mom specifically requested it be delivered Saturday before 3pm. It fucking pisses me off cuz its not exactly like I'm only waiting for a birthday card or a simple gift. I'm waiting for a specific piece of paper that I need to send in to the IRS. Not something I can be leisurely about. Fuck! I hate shit like this.

My mom is going to go to the post office Monday after she gets off work and make a complaint and try to get her money back since the package was not delivered properly.

That's not the only thing I'm pissed about. My sister is having serious issues right now. My mom is moving into a different house due to certain circumstances {nothing bad} and my sister is having a serious problem about not being able to pick her own room. She's 16 and she's throwing a fit. Now she's starting to get all pissed at my mom cuz my mom smokes. My sister is now trying to say that she can't hang out with some of her friends cuz they're allergic to the smoke that follows anyone who was around it. She only seems to be thinking about herself and no one else.

She has no choice in the room picking cuz Jean and Steve {mom's roommates} need the bigger room due to the fact that there's two of them and they need more space. And if she doesn't like the smoky smell {she already keeps her door shut to keep out the smell} she can get body mist or perfume to spray on to get rid of it like everyone else who is around cigarette smoke.

Fuck. Whatever. Its not like I can do shit about it cuz I'm not there. Although I doubt if there was anything I could do about it even if I was there. I hate this kind of shit.

Alright, before this gets any longer I'll end it here. I have other shit that I wanted to rant about, but that's why I have two other usernames on here.

Sorry to hear about the USPS. I know first hand how stuff does not get there. I am an interior designer and we send out drawings all the time. All of them are time sensitive... We have found that FedEx is the best believe it or not. I hope that your mom gets her money back too.

I feel your pain. I have to do that here because the intercom at the front door to our building requires a landline phone that would ring when someone buzzes us. Well we do not have a landline so we don't know when someone is trying to buzz us which is normally someone delivering something. Same problem when we lived in Center City Philadelphia..but that was because no one pushed the intercom button hard enough (which didn't need to be pressed all THAT hard) and so I'd spend the entire day that they were supposed to deliver my goods jumping up from my seat and looking outside when I heard something that could be a delivery truck. That was a pain because there'd be atleast 4 of each USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL trucks. And then the mass transportation busses... yeah we have a lot of trouble getting packages. I hope that your mom gets her money back and that she can get it out to you in a better manner!

Snailmail.. I thought the postal services only suck over here.. Though I think you guys don't have much problems about missing letters or anything both from within and outside of the country.. which we have here.. I only snailmail if it's going to be airmail or cards.. Don't worry about your sister.. It's normal for teenagers to not change and that friends are more important than family.
