Geometry Class Poem
by: michelle
i just found this tonight, it's a poem i wrote in Geometry class last year.
January 22, 2004
sitting in geometry on such a bitter day
snowflakes softly landing, and then they melt away.
we just got done with final exams,
since it's the last day of this class,
but i'm not worried about my grades,
because i know that i will pass.
kelsey fitz sits in front of me,
and is playing with her hair,
shawn now sits in English,
which is only right upstairs.
tonight after school, i don't get to go home,
for i have practice to attend.
it's fun, but tiring, and i can't wait until it ends.
the snowflakes are no longer falling,
but the sun is peaking through,
and still, right here i sit,
with not a single thing to do.
it feels as if i close my eyes,
i will never wake again,
but sleeping would be peaceful,
for what an awful day this has been.
fifteen minutes and we can leave,
to return to geometry no more.
but i won't complain, cause' i had fun,
this class was never a bore.
