Thank god the internet's back! It wasn't all night and all morning!

I had to do a speech today. I was feeling fine until it was my turn to speak. I was stuttering and swallowing my words. I can hardly pronounce even easy words and I kept on staring back at my script! Damn! No matter how many presentations I do, I can never do speeches without practicing for it first anymore! I don't know the reason why I just get so scared. I want to know why, I need to because this just isn't the way it used to be.

Do you feel like you want to eat all the time? I sure do lately but it�s not food that I want to eat. I want to eat sweets, chocolate, ice-cream, junk food! It�s like I can�t stop wanting eat all of those especially when I do my work. Is due to stress? I sure feel like going down to the convenience store to get myself something sweet to put in my mouth while I�m doing my assignments. Then again, I just don't want to go down to the convenience store because I'm afraid that I'll buy the whole store.

I suspect my lack of elaboration in my assignments which my lecturer said to be in point form is making me score an average of 60%. Next time I�m going to put a dash and type out an essay. I also need to improve my skills on doing power point slides because every time I do power point slides on my own, I was told that I should include more pictures. Sigh... I thought power points are supposed to be precise and concise and straight to the point, especially when your lecturer tells you that you�re on a �strict time limit�. Damn! I have to pull my grades up and that means less sleep for me. So off I go to my assignments. Toodles~

there r other colleagues working on the same project as me but they r in charge of a different realm of the project. it's just i was kinda wondering what did the jerk [whose project i'm taking over] had been doin because he has only completed 2 instead of completing at least 50% for all sub-project. as for my part .. some part is already completed. so when i open the rest of the project, i was piss off to see only 2 completed. and the rest is not done. i mean we got time to do them but what the hell has he been doing with all those time??!!

i do presentation on the spot; i only read the script once and then go!!! my presentation has only keywords and some pictures and sometimes none. u might want to put comic strips that r related.

I've never been good speaking/performing in front of a crowd because I feel as if I'm being judged and I'm always afraid I'm going to mess up. when I was in band and had solos; I'd have them memorized and perfect, but as soon as I had to play it on stage, I'd get nervous.

and the wanting to eat sweets thing is probably because of stress. I'm not sure what causes it, but it's got something to do with a chemical inbalance in your body

I feel like I want to eat all the time...and unfortunately, I do...I feel your pain! I find myself eating out of boredom more than anything. I'll be sitting at work doing my things and stuffing my face because I have nothing better to do. Now THAT'S bad

I used to be really shy, and have trouble to express my self in front of people. But is just matter of practice, the more you do it you'll find it easier and easier.

At first I thought that said "eat candles" and I was very worried about your choice of friends lol

But yeah, public speaking is not one of my strong points. I've gotten A LOT more confident over the years, but when it comes to presenting factual material with deep analysis, my brain can never express itself unless I've practiced the speech over and over. I can speak at jump rope performances and such with no problem, just when it comes to presenting academic stuff...poot. I fail. You're not alone :)

That happens to me to when I talk to front of people. I've gotten over the butterflies in my stomach before presenting, but I always seem to stumble over my words.

I LOVE making powerpoints.. that and posters. Anything to do with visual presentations.

And I'm sure the next time you do a speech, you'll do great! Don't stress so much over it; that's my downfall!
