My auntie reported to my mum yesterday how rude I were to my uncle and his wife.

What had I done?

I saw his wife and daughter walking out off a bookstore at a local shopping mall. Given that I was in a hurry that morning, I greeted them with a simple 'hello, morning' without pausing to catch up with them. But she did reply saying 'hello'. Actually, she was in fact like shock to see me that morning.

Later, I did inform my mother that I saw them.

But my auntie's version is my uncle and his wife were very angry that I didn't greet them by calling them out "AUNTIE, UNCLE."

Hence, I was labelled as rude.

Duh. Your blurry daughter didn't even address me "COUSIN SISTER" who is older than her by 11 years. And you want to call me rude for not addressing the elderly?

The best part is my uncle's wife never greet my mother as "Sister-in-law" but by name. You know... in Chinese culture... that's a no-no?

And the daughter never greet my mum too.

So who is rude here?
