Books
Books I have completed reading since January 2021:

1. The Enchanted - Rene Denfield
But I know
Wednesday, June 9, 2010
At the beginning of June, I spotted a dead dog in a a green area with tall grasses at the corner of my housing estate. It was a secular place and no one will spot the carcass like I did if they are not on foot. But I saw the dead brown dog, stiff, lying among the tall grass. I looked at it pitifully. I wondered how did the dog die. Did it die of hunger? Did it die of cold? How did it die at this spot? Why was the dog on the spot? Did it walk half way and fall to the ground?

I have a lot of questions ....

But the stinking smell deter me from looking longer on the dead dog. I kept on walking ...

I was expecting to see bright red flesh rotting in the grass, but I only saw white bones where the huge brown dog had once laid. My eyes won't take off the spot. The rain water flows over the bones like they were naturally embedded in the earth.

Where was the flesh I imagined? I didn't expect to see bones after 2 weeks. I didn't expect to see bones ...

I feel so sad for the dog. No one knows where it died except me.

Something probably ate the flesh. :

Oh, wow
I'd imagine an animal (or group of animals) may have eaten the flesh.... =S

That's so odd, unusual. Who would have imagined they would come across a dead dog on their walk to somewhere? And then to revisit the spot and see nothing of the dog but white bones?
It kind of sounds like the beginning of a sad story. :/

Domino: if u r back to this post, is it possible for me to visit ur blog without logging in?

looking at the carcass of the dog makes me think a lot... when i die .. would my body be like that too? though i have said to my friends and family that i don't need to be cremated whatsoever when i die, because i would just be leaving a dead body behind ... but when death is near, would i still think the same?

I usually see road kill and not a dead dog around the corner.. Tho, people are that oblivious to their surroundings sometimes. It is sad.

Re: yea.. that's why after pulling a few sugar highs, they just don't work anymore.

renaye, re your comments above, do you mean you don't need to be buried or cremated? Because if cremated, there will not be any body, just ashes.
