Refund Policy
Tuesday, December 9, 2008
I remember the first time I asked for a refund when I just came back from the land of sheep was from Sans Francisco because their Chocolate drink was not chocolaty as the first time I had from the branch in Bukit Bintang. My colleagues then were very shocked by my reaction when I called up to enquire their refund policy.

However, I don't remember when is the first time I complained to a restaurant about their service or food that I got something from the restaurant on the house. My family members were surprised. That's because their policy is 'No good service or food, I won't return for good but still I will swallow whatever is served in front of me.' Because of my 'open mouth' policy, it has given ways for my family members to adopt my style and they in fact much more aggressive than me in some events.

I still have friends telling me to clam up should I not like the food or service. But I don't see why I can't since it's my money ruling the quality of the food and service of a place. It's my hard earned money, we are talking about. Don't you want quality too??

Today, I went to Carrefour for a refund too. I called up the services just to double check of a product price and realised I have been buying Sunmaid Raisins 340g for the equivalent price of 500g bag. If you were in my shoes, which product would you buy to stretch your money?

If you could think of your money value, then it is very important for us as consumers to exercise our power. I only complain when it is necessary. I don't complain because I love to let people to hear my voice. So please don't think of a person who acknowledges and exercises her or his rights as some annoying customer just because you want to be unheard.

Agree with u... Voice out when disatisfied. Thats the basic right of a consumer.

Why should v pay when not getting a service v ought to be given...

I haven't really been able to make a profit out of the game, but t hen again, the main reason i had to join was b/c of my it 360 class, although i've done a lot in 2ndlife outside of class as well, and i've been having a fun time figuring out things in the game. Are you still on 2ndlife now? what type of business was you doing on there?

and yea, if its 2 things i'm really into, its natural medicine, and astrology, i always love to read about it, and see what ways nature has for helping to heal your body :-P I'm always liking to find out more about that. Hmm you know, i really wanna try some coconut water someday

We are quite similar here, i have tried carrefour refund policy too for charging me a different price compared to the display price on the rack. Few ringgit difference, mind ya! As a consumer, we gotta uphold our right. i support you!

The trouble is going through with the refund policy. For example, Carrefour, you'd only realize the defect after you'd bought the product. By which time you're already home. And if the Carrefour in question isn't in your residential area, it can be such a hassle.

Another example of the "Tidak Apa" mentality.

But I find complaining about unsatisfactory food in restaurant fairly acceptable. Manhattan Fish Market gave the entire meal on the house, and Dome didn't charge us for the item in question. We paid for hte other stuff though.

Yup, if we are not satisfied with the service or good, we muz speak up otherwise no improvement would be made.

I don't know how some food is supposed to taste like therefore I can't really ask for refunds when it comes to food.
» Nuttz on 2008-12-10 09:34:21

Oh, you have right to complain and even ask for refund as a consumer. As they say, the customer is always right!
