Sunday is not even over yet and I got kinda pissed with a friend's closing technique. I could feel the boiling inside me... Listening to my new Japanese music collection is not helping either.

I was about to shut off my laptop until when my friend greeted me via MSN and immediately asked me if I'm interested to invest in his new backpacker property in New Zealand. I am very interested - seriously - because the backpacker location is strategic but I declined stating I don't have the capital to invest since the given minimum is NZD 2000 (RM 5000). I just said in the future I will. He then immediately replied "look your money ... bla bla... the benefits.. then 100% risk free investment... ur initial capital will quadriple in 5 years... what more can I say..." And then he went on "I'm not going to ask you anymore. Bye for now."

HUH??! Why was he mad? NZD 2000 is not a lot but hellooo I'm earning Ringgit Malaysia and I seriousy don't have RM 5000 to invest. Does he want me to rob the bank? And all business have risk.

I just shot him off "Should you not be asking me what's holding me back?" Duh~ If you have just asked me what's the problem and when can I gather that much money... won't it be much better? Tactfully? Why want to give such bad image? That's bad for business. I'm disgusted. Absolutely disgusted. What a poor negotiator and salesman he is. Thank god he showed his true colours for I don't want this kind of people as business partner.

Oh well... as a salesperson myself, I'm not good in sales but I'm learning but... but I would never said like that to a potential client. My goodness.

I'm not very good at sales either. I think it's for specific people and those people are usually really good at it. The problem is, the try to make everyone good at it...and it just doesn't work that way.

ahh...sales... I use to do sales. I sold computers/laptops/printers at Best Buy, and I got REALLY into the "sales mentality" and did whatever i could to get a sale out. People would come in thinking to spend 600-800, and leave spending at least 2500 with me.. I quit eventually though, I didn't like the feeling of ripping people off and all the pressure.
