A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

Well, I've been doing that for a few weeks now. I'm kind of just a sub, so I don't have a static room. Last week I was with two year olds, and the two weeks before that I had one year olds. Today I had babies again. I hugged babies for money! I just realized that the first sentence in that line makes it sound like I gave birth, but whatever, you know what I mean. Getting to hug babies for money is kind of awesome. It's not high paying, but I don't really mind. I make little enough that I don't have to bother with taxes. Woooo. My first paycheck came last week and yeah, that was kind of cool. I'm also volunteering at school at the child development center with I think three to five year olds, so I'm getting double the experience, I guess. Still kinda awkward, but I'm figuring it out, slowly. Some of them will hold my hand now and actually talk to me, so that's good. >_> (It was my first week this past week, and I see each group of kids at school an hour a day Monday through Thursday) I like babies. They got my clothes really dirty, though. ---Edit--- This song feels relevant to my life. Bumps in the road remind us The worst of the best behind us Only good things will find us Me and you 7 Comments. I don't mind babysitting for some extra cash, I spend too much time home alone with nothing to do and no where to go anyway. But... baby sitting's really my neighbour's forte, she has like 4-5 at once. » Nuttz on 2012-11-03 03:38:29 Babies! =D Do you have to change their diapers? » Silver-dot- on 2012-11-03 04:40:38 Congratulations on your babies! That's nice of you to do, kids need a lot of love and attention. Are you taking care any special need kids? » dont-see on 2012-11-04 12:51:20 Autism is tough. My friends nephew has mild autism. It's all about love and support. That song is cute btw. » dont-see on 2012-11-04 02:54:59 Babies make days amazing! Even with my own (though he's not a baby anymore) I still love the times I get to hold and snuggle new babies... something about it is just comforting And Bubba is almost two and a half (Nov 20th is his unbirthday)... he really is huge. He's already half my height! » MidnightMonkey on 2012-11-04 03:26:38 Are you still doing the shady thing too? » middaymoon on 2012-11-05 06:30:15 eww eww eww eww » middaymoon on 2012-11-06 12:00:42
