A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

Tuesday, August 19, 2008 You probably have not noticed yet because I only just did it, but I changed some of my links. Now that you know you can see them for yourself. They're quite obvious. It's interesting when foreign artists write songs in english. There's something just... different about the way things sound. And I don't mean like they're mispronouncing things or using incorrect grammar. It's something to do with the way things are worded I think... I wish I could write like Sting or Jim Thirwell. Or maybe sing. (I can't sing to save my life, my voice cracks- but most of you know that anyway) And of course I can't dance, either. All signs point to a career not in showbusiness. Well, actually, I don't know if I can act. So showbusiness is not completely out of the question. Although I'm not really sure why I'm thinking about this because I have no interest in that at all... Whatever happened to zero_jak NRGjester thefireisinside337 Radioactive-Note monkeymeister and Robot Jones? [Sorry for the reference to that crappy TV show, I couldn't resist. :P] (I didn't make this but I think it's pretty accurate) ---Edit--- I've been thinking about getting a signature for a long time, but I think I'd want to change it all the time... also dave hasn't been around for a while, so I figured I'd wait until Praetorian was all settled as our co-admin... Forgive me if I've asked this before, but how does the signature work (again)? --- My brother has an obsession with me spitting in his food. No matter how many times I tell him I've never done it, he always thinks I have. So oftentimes I laugh just to screw with his mind. I'm not sure if it's technically getting back but it's as close as I can really get. 9 Comments. I have no idea what happened to the users you listed down.... probably got lost on the road called life... That picture is pretty accurate.. wow... » Nuttz on 2008-08-19 08:07:29 What DID ever happen do Zerojak? And JMC? And my favorite, Randomjun-- oh, yeah... that freak accident. And write like Sting? All you gotta' do is find someone to stalk. " Every breath you take, every move you make, every BOND YOU BREAK(!?! Wtf?) every step you take.. I'll be watching you." » Dilated on 2008-08-19 11:14:38 Ah.. showbusiness. I could.. try to join the thousands of other musicians with a guitar and a voice. But.. also... I sometimes wish I had become a dancer. :] The grace of a dancer just fascinates me. Re: IB (short for International Baccalaureate) is an academic level up to par with AP. Although, IB is.. more challenging as the program consists of 6 IB classes total which vary. (Two electives and the four cores: Math, Science, History, English) The courses are taught through an international view, such as.. "the bigger picture." Also, included in the IB program is the Theory of Knowledge course which teaches a bit of Philosophy. In addition, there are a number of extra course projects (internal and external)that are not included in AP. The External Assessments are not only graded by the course teacher but are graded by other certified IB teachers around the world that teach that course. The main paper of the IB program is the Extended Essay. I believe.. mine was around 2,600 words or so. I like to say.. IB is good to become "well-rounded" academically. AP is good for specializing. But eh, it's a challenge. » yourcupoftea on 2008-08-19 06:07:20 Oh crap, delete the duplication please. :[ » yourcupoftea on 2008-08-19 06:11:55 Hmm, well a lot of the honors people in our school took it junior year but I'd say more than half either failed or left the program. So the senior IB students are rather small in number compared to last year. The number who will achieve the diploma will be even lower as well. » yourcupoftea on 2008-08-19 06:16:06 Re; Ah well. That's definitely not the case here. Good because there's less competition, bad because there isn't too much local support. » yourcupoftea on 2008-08-19 06:49:29 It's cool to hear that you went to check it out but I no longer have access to the server that it was on. In fact...I really hope that I have all of the program files on this harddrive or...Mercury System is gone forever. Well..I'd have to do it all over again from scratch and I spent well over a hundred hours at least on that version. » etheracide on 2008-08-19 07:18:53 Oh God. IB >.> Taking full IB this year. Bleh. And...your brother keeps thinking you've spit into his food? That's an odd thing to protest. » Steigenator on 2008-08-19 08:59:19 re: Yeah, confusing probably half-way because I was really confused during it and half-way because I got lost on the drive home and began to forget about it in the stress of night time driving in an area I didn't know. So who IS the hybrid of the Hulk and Annie? » bananaface on 2008-08-20 12:52:12
