A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

I guess it's tomorrow at home. Today... what can I say about today? Well, I saw a black and white bunny named Oreo who was cute but not exactly what I was looking for. He lives with my great aunt, who currently also has two other rabbits. She showed me her bread machine and demonstrated how it worked by putting some stuff into it. My mom thought I was interested in a bread machine but I don't recall saying that. I think if everything but putting ingredients together is done by a machine it kind of takes some of the fun out of it... Got shave ice for the first time this summer. I asked for kiwi and POG, and for some reason the kiwi syrup was red... it tasted fine though. We did some fireworks at the house. I have pictures and stuff that I can show you when I get back. An ambulance and a fire engine came towards the house and we stopped. I guess the neighbor's mother was ill and they took her away in a stretcher. Out of respect for them we didn't light any more of the things we had. I should go to the beach soon. ---Edit--- This is kind of relevant to the Shoutbox conversation I'm having right now. How I surf: First, get on Nutang to start Comments Home Monthly Top 10 Home Top Active Home Nutang's Top 10 Home Forums - random topics to see if there are any updates Home And this is all in about a minute or two, depending on if anything new is up. Then the cycle repeats. It's a little obsessive-sounding but I have a crappy memory so sometimes I start to respond to comments and completely forget what to respond to, so I end up going back and forth. You get the idea. And I just go back and forth in general so I don't miss... anything. Not that it would matter, I guess. 10 Comments. Shaved ice.... I want that too!! » Nuttz on 2008-07-05 04:59:28 Fireworks... I long to play them again. » Xboyz on 2008-07-05 05:14:29 Obsessive. Yes. Quite. You should seek professional help for that. Excuse me while I spin around three times so I can turn off the light. » Praetorian on 2008-07-05 11:35:49 I so love to bake...and while having a machine to mix all the stuff up for it would be convenient, I couldn't bring myself to use one. I love the time it takes to make stuff. It's so much more fun when I do it myself. Totally got a strawberry shaved ice last night ^_^ Twas amazing! And I » Traumer on 2008-07-05 02:26:56 R:C I'm moving into an apartment building. Living in the same building as my neighbors may be even worse, especially when those people are mostly around my age or even younger. » ranor on 2008-07-06 02:05:50 I agree. Fireworks are a zillion times better when you set them off yourself. Proffesional shows aren't half-bad, though. » bananaface on 2008-07-06 03:56:08 mmm, shaved ice - essential summer treat! (I guess) Yes, House of Flying Daggers is the one with the girl with reeeally long sleeves. » invisible on 2008-07-06 05:41:27 Re: I always tell myself I'll have less junk, and then I end up with twice as much junk. And I'm also a packrat, so I have store EVERYTHING. You never know when you're going to need it. » lazypuppy on 2008-07-06 06:08:34 Nah, copywrites aren't recent. Just those copywrites that control the creative process. The kinds that are for money only, not protection. Like, a person couldn't make an exact copy of another's painting and sell it as their own. Idk, when I finish that outline it will make much more sense. » bananaface on 2008-07-06 06:28:08 ryc Firecrotch was the main character of the movie. And yes, pork skins = pork rinds. Though there are different kinds, some are the fluffy ones, and some look like they just fried the edge of a pig. » ikimashokie on 2008-07-06 10:28:14
