A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

It tore down the fence on the left side of our backyard. Dad: "This happened the last time we had hundred mile an hour winds, too" Hundred mile an hour winds? Yeah right. We had some sixty mph ones I think, and those tore some of the... somethings... off the roof. Not shingles, but longer.... eh well. The basketball hoop in the backyard also tipped over. My dad was concerned about this because it has a heavy base. It came with the house, and in all my years of living here I've NEVER seen it down before. :S Anyway, we also had a power outage. It lasted maybe an hour or two. I dunno. I have a bad sense of time. I was vacuuming when the power went out the first time. Then it flickered on again. So I started again. And then it goes off. I decided then that it was not going to come back on for a while, so I told my mom I wasn't doing it anymore. Of course the lights had to come on right after I said that. :| We're going to Border's in a bit so I'll be back later, possibly with pictures. 9 Comments. yay! pictures. I wish it was storming like that here. instead it's 'partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain' ugh. I would even be okay with the power going out. as long as it wasn't out for more than a few hours {which is how much of a charge my comp battery has before it dies. =/ » LostSoul13 on 2008-01-04 05:28:16 o.o pics!!! power outages... those things are pain in the asses.... hopefully i'll be back around in sum form later, so I'll at least see the pics.. » CPKviperpheonix on 2008-01-04 05:53:52 ah, power outtages... We used to have those. Back when we lived in an actual house and not an apt. building. We would light candles and I'd hang on to my mama in the pitch black darkness... » Silver-dot- on 2008-01-04 09:42:42 :( You're making me NOT want to move to California for law school. It sounds dangerous. » Dilated on 2008-01-05 12:32:17 I'm not sure what part I'd live in... my two choices out west are UC Berkeley and Stanford » Dilated on 2008-01-05 12:46:48 Dave says it's beautiful.. I know it's tied for 2nd best law school in America with Harvard, so it must be pretty good. I hear there's a lot of random junk in that area, though.. » Dilated on 2008-01-05 12:54:03 What grade are you in now? » Dilated on 2008-01-05 01:00:45 Woohoo rain. :/ 100mph winds? craziness! Yeah, had I actually paid the 79 dollars, I'd be mighty angry right now. The shoes are 30 minutes away, but I can't get them until monday. » ikimashokie on 2008-01-05 01:01:15 Upperclass(wo)man. You're old, pal. » Dilated on 2008-01-05 01:23:36
