You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

Twas the night before Monday...
Sunday, September 3, 2006
Well actually it was the afternoon but saying night makes it sound better.

I saw the most beautiful digicam... at TARGET of all places. I usually think of Target as just another one of your average department stores, filled with screaming little kids, old people, and copied fashions.

Well anyway... it was red, which I personally don't like, but the camera itself was great. It had everything I wanted. And the best part is, it's about $200 less than the other one I wanted. Great eh? Now, if only it comes in black...

Sadly, I did not get this lovely piece of technology. Instead, I jotted down some notes about it in my mom's Palm and went off to look at some Halloween costumes in a nearby Party City. And they didn't even HAVE any costumes. It was just some clearance stuff from last year. The good stuff that makes your little siblings/relatives scream in terror was hidden away in a mass of boxes that had yet to be unpacked. Tragic, I know.

I have decided that rock climbing is the way to go for my birthday. Though expensive, it should be a rewarding experience. Losing calories is always a plus, especially so since birthday food tends to be very fattening. But besides that, it's fun to race up and then pretend to fall off (goodbye world!), after which you plummet down at the breathtaking speed of 1 mph. It might even be 1/2 mph, who knows?

Too bad it's a rather costly activity.

I used to get allowance for like a few months back in the 7th grade or so. But my mom kept forgiving to give it to my and I'd forget to remind her so it was just kind of abandoned. I also get money for lunch every week and I usually don't use it up. I save my money up and when I counted just yesturday, I actually had $156. And what happened to kids getting jobs like mowing the lawn to earn money?

Lol, yea. I really like your username. Ramdom is fun.

I've never really noticed anything in the electronics section of Target. Usually I see them at Wal-Mart, Frys, or that one electronic store... It was either Ciruit City or Best Buy. But I'm not that big on electronics. As long as I have internet and a computer, I'm content. Though I've asked my mom for a digital camera.

When my little brother was little, we used to go to Party City a lot because he always wanted a balloon. It was like that every time we passed the store which was at least a few times a week because the way to our house was near there. Now he bugs my mom about buying Beyblades. Do you know what are?

Are you talking about real rock climbing with real rock mountains? Or are you talking about going to those places where they offer plastic/fake rock climbing?

Wow, rock climbing. You're a true adventurous warrior.

And about that pic on my blog. It's my version of filet mignon w/ some vegetables and a quiche (-like food). I am still doing extensive research to understand this root-like transformation phenomenon.

One last thing. I think I saw you mention how you popularity points got lost on the shoutbox earlier. (Please ignore me if that wasn't you.) Anyway, popularity points are reset weekly on Sundays to put everyone on a level playing field.

Hooray for rock climbing! There's one near my house and we keep saying we'll go one day. But of course, it never happens. XP

» frostbitten on 2006-09-04 09:59:27

ah, well if that digicam is $200 less than the other one you wanted im sure you're parents would be much more willing to get that one instead of your other one ;)

and who cares if it's expensive? ^_^ it's *your* special day, you deserve to enjoy it =]

You get 50 cents for your chores? That's what I get too! Except I don't do my chores... Lol. I don't know if anyone would actually hire me either.

Indoor rockclimbing is fun except for the fact that I'm afraid of heights.
