The Zoo of Hangzhou is...
88th day of 2009
The Zoo of Hangzhou is in my stomach. That's a well known Chinese childhood song that I just made up. However, it is clearly a true statement. Allow me to explain.

As most of you don't know and don't care, I spent the more pleasurable half of this month in a part of China called Hangzhou, a provincial city of magic, myth, and mayhem. There, the following creatures were consumed by me...

+ the usual dishes of fish, crabs, chicken, beef, pork, and mystery meat.

Had I been given the opportunity, would I have dined on dogs in cat paw sauce? You know the answer to that.

Nooooooo not ducks, ducks are cute! Except when they're humongous and plasticky. Then they're just really scary.

Also I've heard snake tastes pretty good. Is this true?

Poor pigeons and ducks! And the turtle looks so indignant: "You dare to eat my friend?" he says. I guess I should say poor frog and snake as well.

I dare say, the Zoo of Hangzhou will probably find the toilet more comfortable than your stomach, dave.

Actually, I don't know the answer to your question.

I don't find the tortoise scary.. I find the phyton with it's mouth open scary! Did they not feel it that it tried to attack the visitors?

I am rather surprised no one offered you any cat. hmm...
The frog looks like the same kind of frog I've seen in more than one fantasy film (i/e: The Brothers Grimm). In these films, they tend to either talk or look like they could start talking at any moment, usually giving poor or predictable advice.

Dave!!!! Long time no blog. :) Remember me???
What's with this post? Looks like all the animals you've posted can be potentially made into a meal. :P

Hope all is well with you!
