Less than a year! These earphones lasted less than a year! This is a record for the shortest lifespan. They always break in the same way, in that one side just slowly stops working until no amount of wire jiggling can bring back da noise. Does one side of my head emit some anti-earphone fumes, killing them slowly? Am I alone in this or do other people's earphones have terribly short lives?
I... I'm just gonna save up for headphones. I just hope the 2.5mm earphones that came with my mp3 player won't break, too. I only started using them because, as I've been saying, my regular pair died.

This is why I don't spend more than $10 on a pair of earphones. Once I splurged and spent 20, and they broke 4x as fast as the 5 dollar earphones they replaced! I use the JVC gummy ones, they're 10 dollars and I've had a pair for a little over a year.
The pair I had before them I had to replace because the kittens I had at the time decided that they would make a good chew-toy, so I came home to 5 different chunks of earphones.

My earphones often break in the middle... The earphones which comes with your mp3 should last longer.

I've stopped using earphones. Not because they break, but they don't really fit my ears; they always fall out. So I have headphones now. Big bulky ones. Can't run with them on, but I can take the train and it cuts all the sounds out.
