Barren Illusion
"If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal- that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them. They are the highest reality. Perhaps the facts most astounding and most real are never communicated by man to man. The true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched." - Henry David Thoreau

Pluto's no longer a planet! I'm not surprised at this development, since I got the vibe that a majority of the people didn't think Pluto was a real planet, but I'm still a little sad. Now it will have to be My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Napalm... or something. (Noodles?)

The Plutonians will be so pissed. In a few hours.

It's not a planet? Why? It's so weird to think of it as that because I grew up learning in school that it is a planet. >.< What is it considered then?

I think it's now a "dwarf planet" or something.

Haha! It's a chibi planet! XD

Silly Astronomers...
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,208644,00.html Th link here from Fox has people suggesting other celestial bodies as "planets"...even though the article refers to these candidates as "moons" and "comets." That makes a lot of sense. Sounds like somebody's just trying to get their name in the science books :-\

Yes, Pluto is now officially a "dwarf planet." It's due to it's oblong rotation or something....seems kind of wierd...but oh well. Perhaps when the Plutonians invade they might take pity on us for having to put up with Tom Cruise and K-Fed. Maybe they'll just leave and take those two home with them. :)

Ha, chibi planet. Well, I guess it is "deformed" compared to the regular planets. I heard the IAU were also considering to become planets Charon, a MOON of Pluto, and Ceres, an asteroid! I guess not anymore, since Ceres isn't "round" like real planets (according to their criteria). So I guess it's true what they say... women are from Venus, crazy celebrities are from the Kuiper Belt.

Those Plutonians will be pissed
lets hope their space program is as good as ours....hopefully that will give us few years before the invasion actually gets here.
