So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

I'm headed back to Denver for about a month to hang out with the family and then I'll be moving to Paris for the next two years of my life. Instead of getting myself organized this weekend I went to Maine for a last hurrah with all my friends. It was a lot of fun but now I'm running around like crazy trying to get my life together before I leave. Mostly this involves throwing away huge quantities of stuff and endlessly folding clothes in the oppressive heat of my apartment. I always seem to get nostalgic this time of year when all of my upperclassmen friends are leaving. I'm not too nostalgic now. It's a lot easier to be the one leaving then it is to be the one left behind. I'm shakin' the dust of this crummy little town off my feet and I'm gonna see the world! Italy, Greece, the Parthenon, the Colosseum... Anyway, this explains why I've been slow at reading people's updates. I'll be generally out of touch for the next few weeks. 15 Comments. Wow, Paris. Sounds awesome. » randomjunk on 2011-07-17 07:10:25 Is...was that a pun? Good luck getting everything organized! » middaymoon on 2011-07-17 07:27:38 ;______; byebye love » undisputed on 2011-07-17 08:00:27 Paris is gaining a wonderful person and RI is crying because of it's loss. Texas is mad because you've never lived here though. Keep in touch! I hope you pass along your new address so I can send you knit gifts and care packages from the usa :D » Helena on 2011-07-17 10:08:25 Whaaaa???? The next TWO years of your life? I was under the impression that is was only one?!?!??! » Rachel (98.245.159.47) on 2011-07-17 11:59:14 Good luck on the move I personally find Europe a nice place to live in. But then again, I'm in Germany, might be a whole different place in Paris. Have fun. :) » Xboyz on 2011-07-18 09:05:21 Paris? Good move! Parlez vous Francois? (terrible french.) » littleflower on 2011-07-18 02:00:33 Paris sounds like lots of fun! Two years is a long time that will go by way too quickly for you. One question ... is Sharkboy going with you? You two are the cutest couple. » LostSoul13 on 2011-07-19 04:48:06 I am certainly getting excited. You should make a point to see Greece. There is that whole eastern side of Europe that we have to tackle. » jinyu on 2011-07-19 10:26:25 re: p/w is protected. It will be unless otherwise specified. That sucks that you two will be apart for a while, but it's good that he's finishing his degree instead of putting it on hold. Hopefully it works enough that he can join you in Paris! That would be great! » LostSoul13 on 2011-07-21 05:23:02 Safe travels! » yourcupoftea on 2011-07-21 03:21:07 It's A Wonderful Life!! What are you moving to Paris for? Job, study, ...? » invisible on 2011-07-22 03:14:00 You're such a good internet friend. That link made my day, I think. Am I to understand that NASA is now shutting down completely, but merely stopping the semi-regular shuttle trips? I don't know anything about that guy and Oregon Trail, but the quote is still great. Thanks! » middaymoon on 2011-08-10 02:14:59 Wow, that's a lot of questions, haha Well, over here in Germany, I'm currently using Vodafone, which is not that bad, 5 cents per minute calls to other vodafone numbers, and 15-25 cents per minute calls to other network, depending on which carrier. My gf still calls me on this number and I send the occasional ( okay, often) sms back to her and it costs roughly around 29 euro cents per sms. And I think it costs the same for all sms'es anyway. You can still use your American number here, provided you have roaming, but not recommended, because it's way too expensive. Better to get a local number and call out. To call back home, it's always better to get an international IDD card, cause it's way cheaper. Btw, I'm talking from a prepaid perspective, if you were to get a contract number, then I think everything changes, you can get quite good deals here in Germany, but I'm not so sure about France though... Maybe you should just go online and search, it's always helpful. :) Hope I helped » Xboyz on 2011-08-11 09:26:26 You're v ery much welcomed! » Xboyz on 2011-08-13 09:23:01
