Muffy has a degree
Saturday. 6.23.12 5:44 am
Well Muffy is back...you know what that means? He has free time!
And really that's due to the fact that I now have an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington . Bachelor of Science in Informatics with emphasis on Human-Computer Interaction. Oh goodness here I go feeling all nostalgic again. Do you know what the most heartbreaking feeling is? When you log into your school portal and see no schedule for the next quarter. I'm SO USED to that part of the web site being taken up by a big ass table of classes, teachers, links, etc...and now there's nothing . So bleak.
BUT. I am so, so proud of everyone and what we have made together! I have worked on some amazing projects and created some amazing memories . I cannot tell you how fulfilling it is to stand in front of industry professionals and deliver your first, flawless elevator pitch about the Capstone project you've worked on for almost a whole year. Gah. And to have the loudest cheers out of anyone at Convocation . It is a great thing to feel loved.
Now, here is something that I have realized along the way. I have absolutely NO REGRETS from this past year, but I recognized something that I simply cannot continue missing out on: Diablo 3. Now let me explain.
With all of the stresses I had to deal with, from jump rope to school to stupid people to traffic ( ), I became very business-oriented. Everything I did was methodical. Even fun and hanging out became methodical. I put success and efficiency over relationships and feelings.
Now, when Diablo 3 came out I started watching gameplay trailers, reading Wiki articles, following the story, and reminiscing about the old days. The days when I used to write strategy guides, design characters, and imagine-up entire realms in my spare time. I started feeling super nostalgic about those old days, about Diablo 2....and about ADVENTURE.
Imagination is a powerful thing. It creates, it changes, and, most importantly, produces things like Poke'mon. But one of the most amazing things about human imagination is its ability to let you explore every bit of everything you know and everything you don't all at the same time.
And somewhere along the way, I lost this! So this summer, after all the traveling is over, I vow to sit down and draw something. Maybe a tattoo, maybe my dog Clarence. I am going to buy Diablo 3 and play it on my brand new ASUS A53SD-NS51 . Hollllaaaaaa for graduation money$$$! I'm going to keep exploring and imagining!
Muffy over and out.
P.S. I'm going to the Olympics in London to perform at all the men's basketball games during halftime....INCLUDING THE FINALS. Holllaaaaaa for jump roooooope!
Do not try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

I'm getting into University while you're leaving hahaha. And thanks! One more exam to go. I'm not sure about the website design because a few images don't work (background of the header, etc.) since the imagehoster I was using decided to shutdown out of nowhere =_="" I'll fix it after exams but thhaaannkkkss ;D
And urg, I LOVE YOUR LAYOUT. I always say that though. I'm going to get a muffin now.

Man, you old. Y'all graduating and stuff now, gosh. :P (Does this mean you have to find a job now or are you doing grad school?)
And you're seriously performing at the Olympics? :0 That's crazy!

YAY MUFFY HAS MORE TIME!!!
Congrats dude! Now for your next big step in life - getting a job.
I think your LIFE is more of an adventure than Diablo 3. Come on.. only the lifeless one (me, I'm talking about me) will spend almost every weekend in front of the computer playing Diablo 3. It is a good thing that you're not getting it now since there are still quite a lot of bugs in the game (thanks so much Blizzard!).
I'm going to go find out the Bball schedule just so I can say "I'm watching Muffy on the telly and he's fantastic!"
Re: I know right..? I sometimes don't see why you need to draw a clear line on what you are to the general public.. If you like me for me, it doesn't matter what I am!

Congratulations Muffy!!!!! It's crazy to think that I've known you the whole time you've been in college and then some.... you're all *growing up so fast* awwWwwWwwWwwww And I think it's funny that you're celebrating by playing Diablo III. I think I celebrated both finishing high school and finishing college by going crazy playing Legend of Zelda and Riven, respectively. I don't know what it was about embarking on such colossal "wastes" of time that made me feel so free. :D I can't believe that you are practically an OLYMPIAN!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could go back in time and make plans to go to London for the Olympics so that I could come and watch!

Congrats, yo! Please tell me there is going to be something about this in our ridiculous suburban newspaper. Have an amazing time in London, and if you have free time, go to Monmouth Coffee. It will make you feel like you're back in the NW for a few minutes :).

Congratulations on graduating AND getting to perform during the Olympics!
And, different Edward. Fortunately? Unfortunately?

What an interesting sounding degree! Also going to London for the Olympics would be soooooooo cool without getting to perform in them, much less with! Congrats to both!

Degrees?! Hurrah! Jumping at the Olympics! Double Hurrah!
So, do you have anything lined up by way of employment? Are you going to make the ultimate rope-jumping machine?

Omg omg omg! 1) Congrats on graduation 2) Congrats on being in the Olympics. ;) 3) Yes, I totally know what you mean about using the good old brain for imagination. It's like being a kid again, but better and doing more with it.
