I thought I won't feel it again
I thought I can be free from this pain
I thought I would be find happiness
But I am so wrong.

As I stood in the shadows
I see happy faces pass me by
I see friends making plans and having fun
I see things that I may not ever own

I thought I'm immune to it
I thought I was strong
I thought I won't long for acknowledgement
And a place where I belong

I should have never let them in
I should have never built a door
Now I'm left wondering
What am I to do inside these walls?

As I stood inside these walls
I dream and I hope
That I'll be strong
And make myself comfortable in this one place
where I belong

I was pretty boring in college, but at least everyday was a little different. With this job it's 8-5 no matter what.

It's just really weird after having days that started at nine in the morning and ended at noon.
