Dakota Fanning movie controversy

Jan. 23 - Child star Dakota Fanning is at the centre of a controversy over her portrayal a girl who is raped in the film 'Hounddog'.

Child actress Dakota Fanning spoke to Reuters at the Sundance Film Festival about her role in the controversial film 'Hounddog', which features a scene in which her character is raped.

Critics have blasted the film, saying that children should not be subjected to engaging in "seamy portrayals" for commercial purposes.

ACTRESSES LIKE JODI FOSTER AND BROOKE SHIELDS PLAYED ROLES AS CHILD PROSTITUTES . bROOKE SHIELDS MOST CONTROVERSIAL MOVIE WAS "BLUE LAGOON" IF ANYONE REMEMBERS THAT ONE.

Who is Jack Bauer
Wednesday. 2.7.07 7:00 pm

24 television series

SOME PEOPLE DON'T KNOW WHO JACK BAUER IS... SO LET ME CLUE YOU IN

Jack Bauer was born in California as the son of Phillip Bauer. After high school, he enrolled at UCLA, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Art. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Criminology and Law from UC Berkeley[2].

After completing his schooling, he was in the U.S. Army's elite special forces unit Delta Force, and worked as a Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team member. Bauer also did fieldwork for the Central Intelligence Agency before being seconded to the Counter Terrorist Unit. While at CTU, he was the Team Leader for an action known as Operation Proteus and the Section Captain during the incident of the Hotel Los Angeles attack[3]. He later uncovered evidence that three CTU agents, including his mentor Christopher Henderson, were taking bribes. Jack gained a reputation as a whistleblower and lost favor with CTU hierarchy[4].

Jack was married to Teri Bauer; the couple had one daughter, Kim Bauer. After Teri's death by the hands of Nina Myers, a rift grew between Kim and Jack, not closing until eighteen months later. Jack also broke off contact with his father, Phillip Bauer shortly after the funeral. He and his brother Graem Bauer have been cold towards each other since Jack had an affair with his wife. They hadn't spoken in nine years.

Throughout the course of 24, Jack has been the subject of "blowback" (when a past operation comes back to haunt him in some way) a total of four times. The first was in Day 1, with Jack being the target of the Drazen family (also targeted: Senator David Palmer and Robert Ellis). The second was in Day 3, with Jack's former Delta Team soldier, Stephen Saunders, releasing a weaponized virus in the United States. The third occurred in Day 5, when Jack was abducted by Cheng Zhi after taking part in a covert operation on the Chinese Embassy in Day 4. The latest blowback occurs in Day 6, when terrorist Abu Fayed demands Jack's death after Jack tortured and killed his brother in Beirut during an operation in 1999.

Ancient Chinese Secret
Tuesday. 3.13.07 10:51 am
If you went to the doctor with a pain in your leg and he told you the only option was to cut it off, would you get a second opinion? Heck yeah! I am not saying that my leg is to be cut off but when western medicine fails to work... I look to the East.

I have a back injury from 22 years ago. Every now and then, my back will slip out or some trauma will happen and I am not able to walk, sit, etc. The only thing that works for me is Accupuncture. I don't know how it works and I cannot begin to explain it. Maybe it is just some ancient Chinese secret.

Accupuncture II
Friday. 3.16.07 3:29 pm
Ok, so I thought that one accupuncture treatment was going to be the end of all treatments. I was CURED!! So, at least I thought I was. I was swaying my hips and bending at the waist without any pain. However, there was this sharp pain in my right quadracep. That pain was causing me to limp like a veteran of war. I thought it would be ok for me to grit my teeth and bear the pain until it goes away.

I am not as tough as I thought I was. The pain was constant every day. It felt as if I were hit by a moving car right smack in the middle of my leg; or maybe even by a snowmobile on a downhill run. The only thing that worked was 3 excedrin every 4-6 hours. But now I was worried about burning a hole in my stomach lining from all that excedrin.

I finally gave in and called the accupunturist to schedule another appointment. I am glad that I did. It has only been 3 hours since I had seen her and I have not needed to take a single asprin or excedrin. I am even able to bend my knee. Wow! This stuff really works!

My last hope
Saturday. 3.24.07 3:13 am
If you have been following my blog you will know that I have been experiencing alot of pain in my back and knee. I have been seeing an accupuncturist and a chiropractor. I dont mention the chiro much because I have been mainly seeing the acupuncturist. Those bills are adding up. The chiro is 20 bucks each visit which is cool but now my son is going 3 times a week. The acupuncturist is 100 bucks per week (2 visits per week).

I went to see a specialist because it does not seem like the numbness in my shin is going away. This specialist is so busy that you have to wait 2 - 3 weeks just to get an appointment. I got really lucky and got to see him within 24 hours.

I did not get far in the examination because I was in so much pain. The doctor began to bend my knee and I felt this sharp pain. . I screamed, "ouch! stop stop stop!" I hit him everytime I said stop. Yes, that means I hit him 3 times. I was in so much pain. I had my eyes closed and tears were coming down.

He ordered xrays right away and then asked the nurse to set up an MRI appointment for me. Everything seems to be moving along fast. This is good because I have had this pain for about 6 months. I cant wait to find out what is wrong so that they can fix it. The doctors says that I have a pinched nerve but he thinks something else is going on too.

I got me some drugs finally! I got Vicadin extra strength and some muscle relaxers. They warned me not to have any alcohol while taking the medication. Uh, duh! ha ha.

I really hope the specialist can get to the root of the problem and take care of it. Honestly, this is my last hope.
